Yeah this one is incredible. Why don't synths like this exist in Trance anymore ffs, it epitomises that Trance feeling. And listen to how subtle the high-hat is with the rest of the percussion, the beat feels like an extension left over from the baseline. It's all there. This could probably go in that 'sophisticated' category discussed in the other section. It builds perfectly too. 10/10

Oh my god yes! Wonderful swells. The bassline is playful and warm... That's almost exactly why I love 90s trance.

This track sounds remarkably similar (in vibe) to Air. Lush, dreamy prog trance. Both were released in 1998 and featured on John Digweed's GU compilation, i wonder whether one influenced the other...?

Great track! I just love that style, those warm chord pads...

I wouldn't say one influenced the other (even though it's possible). There were similar tracks even before '97.

Such an amazing track. Discovered it 8 years ago from The Thrillseekers Luminosity Beach Festival set - it was his opening track!

In January this year one of my last parties before the corona lockdown has been a nice event in Poland with the Steve as a headliner. During his set I've heard "Air" but couldn't recall the name, so he just made a photo of the track name during the set itself and showed me (as I was in the front row right near him). I'm pretty sure that was one of the first ever times he played that remix, as it was still unfinished as he told me later...
Was a great moment, my friend also captured this little video from that night :)

Btw I think this remix is still unreleased...

Ditto. I think it just happened that these two tracks emphasized the soothing pads more compared to previous works. That's why the two sound similar.
Steel Blue sounds more apt for a party or a rave, to be honest.

The best thing Ferry's ever done. Gouryella and Out of the Blue are classics but they are generic trancers. This is high quality trance.

Might just agree with you there. Loved From The Heart and that Eon track, but this one tops those I think.

I think Gouryella and Out of the Blue just happened to be products of their time. Air, Cyberia, and Galaxia are damn good, though, and they show the innovations that Ferry Corsten could bring to trance.
