Just found this track on youtube, proggy heads pls dont take too serious, i think the millenial trancer's will love it!

Exodia - Celestia

And here is the main reason of my post:

Roza Terenzi - Resident Advisor 756

Many people of the internet think that this is the best Trance mix of the year 2020, the mix is made mainly from new tracks, so i decided to post it here.

electronicbeats.net:
Here’s Your Trance… Now Dance

We may be cresting the wave of the trance revival by now, but if 2021 offers the chance to experience a Roza Terenzi set—ideally under the heavy green foliage, or out among desert rocks, that kind of thing—we’ll be dropping everything to run straight to her speaker stack. On her Resident Advisor mix, the Australian DJ combines ancient trance artifacts (Adamski, Power Circle) with powerful new music from her own label in order to rekindle the magical potential of a maligned genre. It’s two hours of heartfelt and bass-heavy belters, ready to move your limbs and open your third eye all at once.

residentadvisor.net:
RA: In the last two years or so, your DJ sets (and productions), including this mix, have started to incorporate a lot more trance and trance-influenced techno. Where did this interest come from? How did it develop?

Roza Terenzi: Probably from finding better trance-inspired music that incorporates many things I like in dance music: a lightness despite faster speed, progressive driving rhythm, sensual, playful, dreamy... I think it's not too far from a lot of the early '90s IDM and downtempo music I love, just recontextualized into a club setting and with more bass. I'm always drawn to the balance between sounding organic and tech.

The Exodia track is pretty spot on when it comes to the old school vibe and it's quite beautiful. But the audio quality is horrendous! I don't think it's the actual production, but just a lower quality upload on YouTube.

*EDIT*

I found the track and a few others on Bandcamp and sadly, it's produced badly. I think the idea is to have it "sound" old school and lo-fi, but bad production will always be bad production. Such a shame!

The mix from Roza is amazing, hard to imagine that all of these tracks are relatively new, but it just goes to show that the lost sound from the 2000's is still impactful! Thanks for sharing.

edit: The album cover for that track is on-point  Celestia really does make me think of an old-school video game. I want to hear it while playing Super Mario 64 or a racing game.

Exodia from Yu-Gi-Oh! My younger brother used to watch the crap out of that anime, haha. As a nerd who used to play card games, I prefer Magic: The Gathering.

What an interesting thread. I had no idea these sounds are being made today. Personally I would like somewhere in between these homage styles and the more modern styles, the center point lets call it. A bit more Trance, and a little less Techno too. Imagine if we had Pure Trance label taking in some of these guys and having them remix Trance tracks, or even encourage them towards a Trance sound.

Yeah, Im sooooo TIRED of the established names (ASOT,FSOE,BLACK HOLE etc) Its all have become tiring to say the least. The producers has become tired and their tracks aswell. How the F can Aly & Fila still play the same genrric cheese uplifter and pretend its still FRESH and pretend its still the sound we love?

On the other hand im not into this techno-trance either. I cant take it seriously, but I guess its better than the alternative.

This was out 6 days ago. A brilliant remix from one of my favourite producers ever - Arjan Immerzeel aka Science Deal aka Catching Dreams.

Crystalclouds Recordings - keeping the true genuine sound in the purest form since 2007, which is the reason it's one of my favourite labels.

Science Deal - Naenia (Catching Dreams Remix)
