My older brother went to parties in his later teens and took me along, so I just got lucky! And that dj setup was the club standard back in the early 2000's so we wanted to follow suit. It cost a pretty penny now but I'm sure it costs even more now, as vinyl is making a comeback and it's vintage gear.

What Korg synths do you have that wasn't pictured? I used to have a Microkorg and Kaossilator, but sold those off when I took a break from producing music.
Some of the newer ones I went for them because they are cheap as fuck :)
Volca FM
Volca Keys
Volca Bass
I barely played with them yet, this is a setup for the future. Not finished yet, I am going to add Volca Sample and some Effects and a proper sequencer/mixer. But I can barely play them atm. I suck so very bad, but I am definitely gaining some exp :)

Those synths are badass, just watched some YT videos of them in action. Synthesis is a whole different world to explore with lots to learn.

HP Elitebook 4870p (Core i5 3320M/8GB RAM)
Focusrite Saffire Pro 14
Yamaha HS5
ISK HP 680
AIAIAI TMA-1 Studio
FL Studio 20

No chair, I sit on the floor when producing. I find myself most relaxed that way.

There's also Adam F5 monitors (not on pic). They really sound great, but too pleasing to my ears. I'm more confident making decisions with the HS5.

No im not joking. I used to have Yamaha NS10s (acctually NS044s) for reference which are great paired with a yamaha amp and some audio interface. Used a MB33 analog synth in some productions but thats about it. After all you can make records with minmal amount of hardware using only some mac/windows machine and "decent" headphones. The rest is your "skill" and creativity.

So my Set Up did change a little. Got my NS10s (Ns044s) back, and amp and on the right a 4 track recorder for tape processing. You can also see a MB33 Desktop Synth (which sounds like a TB303) and a cheap FCA1616 Interface which does its job. I dont produce on my windows machine, I slap my macbook on the table and connect to the interface via the white usb cabel.

the misses captured this the other day:

So this is what having a 150m2 house 4 (bed) rooms, a garden extention and a garage comes down to in terms of "studio" for me these days:

Hardware:
Five year old custom-built PC, i7 7700k with 32 gb of RAM, 250 GB SSD (out of frame on left)
Desk made out of a repurposed door (with matching stands for monitors and speakers) and a board for my synths, all courtesy of my Dad
Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro
x2 Tannoy Reveal 502s
ROLI Lightpad Block
Focusirte Scarlett 8i6
Ableton Push 2
Akai APC40 MkII
Dave Smith (RIP) Prophet 12 Module
Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S2
Korg MS-20 mini
Elektron Analog Four
Make Noise 0-Coast

Software:
Ableton Live 11 Suite
NI Komplete 11 Ultimate (with only about 30% of it installed; chiefly the Kontakt libraries)
iZotope Stutter Edit (1 and 2) and BreakTweaker (I only use the samples)
Valhalla VintageVerb, Delay, UberMod and Shimmer (best damn reverb and delay plugins you can buy)
Sonarworks Reference 4 (corrects for the imperfections of my headphones and lack of acoustic treatment)
A shit ton of Max for Live devices (free and paid; I use them more than VSTs)

Let's just say I've had a number of gearlust phases over the past decade 😂. But I'm very proud of my setup and I use most of everything that I own.

Just my HD25’s, those monitors bottom out at something like 48hz, so a number of years ago I started using the Sennheisers to check the low end. Not perfect set up but I’ve learned the characteristics of them to get it right.
