What band or music artist you hate that everyone seem to love and why?

Well this topic is about well-known producers, who maybe do not deserve it. In all honestly, I had no clue about his previous works, he became popular in around 2005-6, so he was not really well-known before that.

What band or music artist you hate that everyone seem to love and why?

Interesting thread, "hate" is a strong word though, i do not think i am capable of hating someone just because i dont like their music :) When it comes to names, I see a clear pattern with several producers: Once they appear in the scene, they create some wonderful music, but very soon fall...

(Why) are there no new ideas in trance?

I sort of agree, but in essence I think different genres have really merged in every possible way, there is so much great house out there with melodical trance breaks. For example I really like Faithless recent releases, its not "God is a DJ" type of thing anymore, starts as typical house track...

(Why) are there no new ideas in trance?

For me, it is really surprising that so many people still listen to the regular ASOT type of music. 95% of tracks there are really uninspiring and bring nothing new to table. In recent years there have been maybe around 10 tracks that I really enjoy, which can be considered traditional trance...

What was the reason for the decline of trance after 2005?

So much truth in many posts here, I guess its a combination of things. For me the worst years in trance have been probably in mid 10s, lets say 2012-2016 were the worst. The style that was produced was boring and not suitable for my aging ears, all the big players went to pop/edm side, no new...

    Mash-ups

Not a big fan of mash-ups, what they usually prove is that alot of songs are just built in exactly the same way, but i do enjoy those which merge music from totally different styles: One of the earliest mash-ups is still the best though: DJs from Mars have made shitload of great stuff as...

    The Drum & Bass Thread

I really love liquid DNB, gives such great dreamy atmosphere, only style that is similar to trance in that sense that you can get really get lost into it: Another similarity is that the golden days of the genre are in the past, havent really heard anything great in recent years, but there are so...
