Stenna - Skyline (Arizona Remix) [Flux Delux / 2005]

A fine remix from Thomas Bronzwaer. It's less energetic/full-on than his other works like Shadow World, but it still has a punchy edge to it. This one takes a more graceful melodic approach, with the arpeggiated and pad-like melody complementing each other very well.

Oceanlab - Beautiful Together (Signalrunners Perfect Century Remix) [Anjunabeats / 2008]

A very impressive remix that manages to transform the original into a completely different yet creative track. It's got an attention-grabbing electro bassline, interwoven with vocal chops and glitchy sound effects. Towards the latter half of the track, it flourishes into more familiar trancy...

Probspot pres. Zinfandel - Galivan [2007 / Emote Music]

An interesting find from Probspot's back catalogue, this one from one of his less well-known aliases. This has the trademark twinkly synth melodies and bouncy basslines, with a more polished sound compared to his older works.

Revolution 9 - Remember [Ascent Recordings]

Lovely track from Dave Parkinson. This is what modern banging trance should sound like. Especially love how the arpeggiated melody builds in the breakdown. It's got great energy throughout, the percussion/bass clean and crisp without being overpowering.

John O'Callaghan Feat. Lo-Fi Sugar - Never Fade Away (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) [Armind]

One of my favourite Ottaviani remixes. Has the right degree of punch and dreaminess for me. It's got the classic Ottaviani stabby melody and the sweet vocals complete it.

Kylie Minogue - Hold On To Now (Trance Wax Remix) [BMG]

Quite enjoying this catchy tune, which is undoubtedly done in the style of 90s eurodance, although I can see this being too cheesy for some of you guys. Personally I really dig the bleep-bloop main lead as well as the trancy chord stabs in the second breakdown. The vocals are just right for this...

Emery & Kirsch - Lose Yourself [2005] [Enhanced]

A relatively obscure release from the early Enhanced days. A surprisingly mature and measured track from Emery. Starts off with a dreamy vibe. The twinkly synth sounds like something from his Northern Lights years. The ethereal vocals help the track glide along without being overbearing at any...

Sarah McLachlan - Fallen (Gabriel & Dresden Anti-Gravity Mix) [2004]

One of the few G&D tracks i like. The style they do is a perfect match for the vocals The weighty drums give the vocals great power. Their simplistic heavy sound works really well here The reverb gives the vocals a great sense of space. For me, this ranks above their remixes of No One on Earth...

    Jardin - April [Coldharbour]

Nice spring-themed tune with a very lovely melody. A surprisingly mellow tune released on Coldharbour. Beatwork is simple but it just works, allows the melody to shine.

ATB - I Don't Wanna Stop (Kenny Hayes Sunrise Dub) [2003]

A relatively obscure mix of a commercial vocal trance track. Vinyl only, also showcased in mixed format in ATB's DJ In The Mix compilation. Track is a fine piece of melodic mid-tempo trance with summery vibes. The vocals are utilised in just the right amount, which makes for a more subdued and...

Coke Beats & Ridgewalkers - Movin On [TurnItUp Muzik]

I think this is the only Ridgewalker tune I've heard other than Find. Came across this on Pure Trance radio. The bassline definitely gives off mid 2000s Coldharbour vibes. It's a simple, catchy tune. Worth checking out.

    Lume - Lume [Monster Force]

A lovely uplifter from an obscure Finnish artist. Stylistically, it sounds like the mid 2000s Euphonic sound from Ronski Speed and Mirco De Govia and co. The star of the show is undoubtedly the lush chord stabs. The vocal chants add an eerie, mystical twist to it. A classic example of the...

Belmondo - Sunshine Dust (Jussi Polet Remix) [2006]

Lovely record from the Finn who is probably most well known for remixing Recluse's Emotional Void. The breakdown is dreamy and subdued, with the wistful string melody gracefully emerging and continuing into the climax.

Art of Trance - Stealth [1999]

A tasty trancer from the superb Voice of Earth album. Infectious bassline, gripping acid lines and cleverly arranged synths/FX. Musically engaging all the way through, not a boring moment.

    Mesh - Aftertouch [2006]

Purple Haze is the first track that comes to mind when people mention Mesh, but I'd argue this is his best track. Starts off slowly like a prog track with its chunky bassline. Then it opens up with a hands-in-the-air supersaw melody in the breakdown. The climax is euphoric, the groove...

    Fix To Fax - Meridian

Classic Vincent De Moor with his signature playful melodies, lively percussion and groovy basslines. Second half of the track takes a surprising turn. Not a single boring moment.

Vintage & Morelli - Terra Nuova [Anjunabeats]

A recent progressive favourite of mine. Liking how the arpeggiated melody sounds and the overall synthwork. Interesting breakbeat 'climax' too.

    Modera - Inferno [Colorize]

A relaxing prog house tune with gorgeous and evocative melodies.

Universal Solution - Ischia [Solar Storm]

A stunning piece of dreamy, melodic prog. Melody is uplifting and the sweeping pads are ethereal. Ambient version is equally beautiful. Wasn't able to find it in Youtube so a Spotify link would suffice. Another similarly styled track would be Tom Middleton's WYV AUW CHU from 2013 which i also...

Claes Rosen - True Love [Monstercat Silk]

Claes has been putting out upbeat summery house for a number of years now. Been really enjoying his latest EP on Silk. True Love is a lovely melodic tune; my pick out of the three.
