A massive personal producer milestone just happened - 1 Million plays for my ORIGINAL track 'Tears For Adagio'......i know you can get lot of plays for a remix, but for a track you started from scratch, thats a bit more special i think. I'l maybe not do that again with an original track...

congrats

That's some achievement. A nice track, although somewhat simple for my taste, I prefer older ambient. I can see why it is popular. Was there a moment where the algorithm favoured you, leading to a sudden rapid spike in views, or has this been a gradual accumulation?

not sure why you have to keep mentioning it
Haha. You post it. So I can reply. That's how it works right?

How I see it, a progress-thread is simply called Facebook, or www.magdelayna.com. So that's why I find it funny.

But don't worry. I won't tease you all my life :)

Actually I should make a Magnevi thread and bump it with every little news I have about myself. Why not.

Im not sure anyone would agree with you..thats why forums like this are here, threads like this. I wish more producers would do more journey like stories. Id find yours quite interesting,so why go out of the way to ridicule mine? Its quite rude really.

Ive attached the analytics image from Youtube for this track..the spike you see is when the first lockdown kicked in...but you see the first couple of years it hardly got hardly any plays. So yeah,it gathered momentum...through the pandemic..as did most videos hehe. Im still not sure why this one has done so well though.

Ive talked about the rise of my Youtube channel, in plays and subscribers in the last few years - now lets talk about the DECLINE.

It looks as though the last two years were 'exceptional' ones due to the pandemic - as since the start of the year, and also since the war in Ukraine started,my plays have literally plummeted - which in turn effects the subs aswell. The only thing i can put it down to is the end of the lockdowns, people returning to 'normal' life.....and you also see what happened to companies like Netflix, theyve lost millions of subscribers recently. One thing that has really effected me is thousands of my tracks dropping out of Youtube playlists - it can really damage your play count.

If anyone thinks of any other reasons, let me know hehe!

Ive recently started trying another route to get my music out there - a distributor called routenote which can release all my original unsigned tracks across all the online stores e.g. iTunes,Amazon,Deezer etc.

You receive revenue from downloads and streams - although they take a cut aswell.

I will create a post about this soon, when i see what is happening with that side.

Just as a final note - here is an updated list of Official Trance Producer Youtube channel play counts - im just clinging onto the top 10 hehe!

I was 17 years old and just finished high school....in the spring of 1999 i had gotten into this style of music called 'Trance'...i walked down to my local Woolworths one day and proceeded to buy a CD called Gatecrasher Wet. On here were standout tracks like Synaethesia by The Thrillseekers ,I Believe by Lange and Take You There by Signum .

These three guys went on to become some of my favourite producers ever, and legends in the scene. This inspired me to start making music myself,on those dark winter nights on Music 2000 on Playstation. I wanted to make my own style of music and put my interpretation on the Trance genre, just like these guys had done.

23 years later on this August 13th....im DJing on the same lineup and stage as them - crazy eh?!!
😲

Well here we go guys - here is some of my very first tracks i made on Music 2000! I will be doing some follow up videos aswell, tracks on the later MTV Generator game and also Music 3000. You can kind of see how i progressed through this time, the tracks started to gain some sort of structure and creativeness compared to this early ones hehe. Listen near the end,i went quite dark haha! What a blast it was though learning on this - i know alot of other guys did aswell.

haha yes,i was going to mention there is some darker stuff at the end...i did this under the 'Nebraska' alias i used....in fact i did a whole Nebraska album a couple of years later, and its all dark industrial stuff..im not even sure if its Trance or Techno hehe. I'l put that whole album up soon.

Thinck Tanck was an alias of my college friend Martin,we were both massive fans of the Music games and we made literally hundreds of tracks on it.
