20 years in 9 days will be September 11. Please no political comments. Where was everyone when this happened? I was still in School at the time but I cannot see some of the images or videos or the voices of people hurting. This has made me feel a bit unsettled or scared everytime I take a flight where it's given me aerophobia.

I think JOOF made a track called United 93.

6th form. Had the morning off colleague and watched it unfold. I was terribly moved by it. Even now when there is a TV show going through the stories, I have to watch it, almost in honour of those people and families who lost someone.

A home, working. I had the television off for most of the day and initially was like yeah yeah, another terrible thing on the afternoon news yadayada, i'm just going to do my own thing here and tuck in early.

The next morning when I woke up, the world had changed.

I was in pre-school in the US studying the year before first grade. When 9/11 happened, my parents feared that the US-Mexico border would close, so my parents enrolled me in a school in Mexico instead. Did my education over there up until high school.
I wouldn't have, and did not understand what 9/11 really meant until much later in life.
