This is nice, especially the intro. Sounds/melody/vibe are ok. All the foundations are in place.
But the whole track feels like a neverending intro even after the beats are introduced, not sure if it was intended or not.

Cool man, thank you for listening and the feedback.
Intros are something i like making so perhaps i carried the vibe of it too much into the next section.
I am no where near finished making this track but i just thought posting feedback request would be useful half way through.
I think i will add a bass lin, something like a 303 maybe arpegiated.
i have the D16 Phosycon 2 vst which is incredible.

Nice spacious and trippy thing you got there. Maybe a bit too much reverb? all the channels need a bit more pressence? Also my ears really pciked up on that tingly fx thing that comes in at 3.30. its (way) too loud for my ears atleast. made me grimace even haha. Theres a bit of a odd transition at 4.40 until the kick comes in again. Feels a bit unnatural, but it picks up nicely again after that. It just makes me think it could be a good longterm ambient/spacious project. Its hard to see this be a classic trance formula. Atleast if you stick to what you have now within these 6.24 minutes. If its gonna be a more traditional trancy production I think you should try and stick with the first mintues of this and build on that. That space/ambient eletronica synth that comes in at 3.20 is more in favor of a sort of space/progessive electronica build/arrangement. You need to decide what you want it to be.

Apart from that its pretty cool. Not enterily to my liking/personal taste, but that aside its pretty good.

I really like the twinkly intro and vocal sample - the best thing about this is that Tilt-ish growling bass thing you have,id base the whole track around that. The thing that really lets it down is that clap and some of the hats - totally replace it. Listen to some old Tilt/quivver stuff and see what percs they used,it would really suit this.

100% this
I’d also add Bedrock to the list:

You could definitely turn this into an early 2000s prog monster of a tune.
The core ideas are great, love the atmosphere over all.

Cool man. Only just seen the reply from you , recharge and lostlegend. Thanks for listening and feedback. I think i hear what you mean about the tilt quiver sound ( i have it on paul oakenfolds brilliant creamfields cd compilation from 2004 which is sooooooooo good) On my track i completely designed the growly bass sound ( if you mean the sound that has a rythmic arpegiator element) im pretty proud of that. It started as a preset from a sound pack in Dune3 but i edited it beyond recognition from the original. Love doing that!

Yeah the hats are to be probably replaced ( the track was made from another i did and just to make the wip fuller i left them plus the clap in to fill the mix, although i wuite like the clap but will deffo alter or just bin it)

Glad you like the vocal samples man, i spent ages perfecting the fx on them and on the first one you hear (about the future) it didnt come with the filter opening as its said, I programmed in the filter with assigning a filter envelope to a knob on my Novation Basstation 2 via automation through the sampler. First time ive done that on a vocal sample and fairly pleased with the results.

Love the intro, the vocal sample sounds great and love the acids but at almost 3 mins it's maybe a bit too long for my tastes (maybe I'm just impatient)! Could 30 seconds be trimmed off somehow?
For me the biggest thing I would change is the Kick. After the big building intro I was really looking forward to the kick dropping and then.... this really flabby timid kick! To me a really modern punchy Kick would be awesome.
The other feedback from me is after the Acids drop out for the little breakdown at around 4:30 or so the arrangement sounds a bit empty without them. I don't necessarily mean bring them back in after this but maybe it needs another sound and riff to fill out the mix and add some interest near the end of the track.
Looking forward to hearing this one go from WIP to finished!

Cool man thats good advice. I was definitely debating about the kick and like you and some have said it needs a better ooomph. A big mudder thudder of a kick me thinks 😀. Yeah total WIP.esp arrangement wise. I will analyze the intro and see what i think. 3 mins is long but im planning to make it a 10/11 minute track so we will see

Ive just noticed Activia has listened to the track. I checked the soundcloud insights. Ive been in touch with Slipstream who is also knon as Atlantis who wrote the classic fiji. I got to know him via a Facebook group around a year ago and had sent him my WIP as we chat about music fairly regularly. Perhaps slipstream sent Activa a link as slipstream releases through Borderline ??? Wow.

( @jetflag. Food for thought. )

Nice sound! It reminds me of progtrance of 2006-2009 a bit, Hiroyuki ODA - Injection, Aalto - Taurine and others. Bassline is good but it could be more vivid (it's more like my taste). And maybe the mix should be drier. It's just my opinion, so don't take it as a 100% 'call for action')

Yeah I would agree with everyone else's comments. As with most of your tracks, the ideas are great, they just never seem to take shape. As someone previously said, it's almost like one long intro. I would advise studying trance tracks' structures. It doesn't have to be as formulaic as uplifting trance these days, but I would recommend listening to tracks of this style and seeing how they build, release and climax.

As usual your track ideas and sounds are feeling really really nice, I enjoyed listening to that a lot, but you've essentially made a 4:40 minute intro/build up (fantastic) and then the arrangement falls off and you have 2 minutes of outro (which is also nice). There is an idea waiting inside that, some turn of direction, that makes up the entire middle of the track. As Daysleeper said you need to decide what kind of track you want this to be and the attempt to follow the conventions of that structure.I am glad you said you are planning 9-11 minute track as it will need it.

Also small note, I found the acid noise at around 4:40 not quite as pleasant as it could be.

Ok
Im gonna study arrangement of released tracks over the years. See if i can get inspiration from these.
might copy and paste a track into my daw if i can do the wav file audio thing. Basically copy the structure of a well known structured track. I will also look into daw templates as ive not used them before and they may assist for some purposes.
I guess i know what im good at and also what im not.
Balance is a great thing and i do strive for that in life… so taking an interest in song structure and arrangement can only help me evolve as a producer. Its a necessary lesson i will endure.
Cheers guys 👍✌️❤️🫶😊🫶
