@Archon edit:

Changing this thread to cover the entire album, as it is a stunning one (even though if not completely trance). As the cover says, expect trip-hop, ambient, jungle, as well as DnB and even trance at the end!

The album starts of wonderfully and keeps up the quality throughout, but for me the highlights are near its end - Tuu-Ru and (especially) Hollow are personal favourites.

Put your headphones on, play the entire thing from start and just...enjoy.

Tracklist:

(0:00:00) Obsession
(0:04:17) M.S.L.
(0:08:14) The Mind And It's Consciousness
(0:13:43) 501
(0:16:57) Butterfly
(0:22:43) Sweet & Bitter
(0:31:17) Leaving Home
(0:34:19) Indifference
(0:41:51) Tuu-Ru
(0:46:40) Hollow
(0:52:00) Rain Dreamers
(0:56:05) Mellow Trance Remix Of Rain Dreamers

----------- ORIGINAL POST -----------

A Junkie XL alias and the only Trance track on the self titled downtempo/jungle/trip-hop album (which is so good).

Love this track, it builds so nicely, has a lovely Robert Miles type piano and just feels atmospheric and driving (in a chill way). Listen to how nice the kick is.

So light and crisp. Love it.
Those filtered stabs, breaks vs 4x4 beats, and the flow, style-wise it sounds like Starecase track.

Nice track from a lovely album. Preferred other tracks (Hollow and Tuu-Ru) from the album though. Really worth listening to the whole thing.

Post-relisten edit: Actually loving it! Wasn't overly drawn to it on the album, but after taking a couple of listens now, I can't seem to stop playing it. So nice! Reminds me of Banco de Gaia as well.

Great find here. The font on the album cover tells you everything you need to know going into this.

A simple beauty. When you deconstruct it, it's really nothing special, but everything just works perfectly together.

Changed the thread to cover the entire album instead, as it is a must-listen. One of the best works from Junkie XL, and actually one of his first. What a talent.

The more I listen to this, the more I'm thinking it might be one of the best tracks Tom has ever made.
