Today I went through the first 600 tracks out of the roughly 12,000 trance releases from 1995, and among them this one clearly stood out the most. It’s a quintessential early German hard trance track, at times flavored with a touch of that happy hardcore / rave sensibility through the use of a sped-up female vocal, and featuring those chaotic, acid/techno-leaning transitional passages that were characteristic of earlier years. Getting acquainted with 1995 as a whole, this track reinforces what I’ve been noticing in several others as well: the extremely dark, tense, almost brooding trance sound that defined 1992–1994 seems to have begun shifting in this year toward something more optimistic, looser, and generally more uplifting in emotional tone. For anyone who wants to track the full version down: it was released on the Rave Now! Vol. 4 and House Inspector Vol. 2 CDs in 1995. A remix of it also came out in 1996 on Tunnel Trance Force Vol. 2.
