This remix has made the well-known piece "Sun In Your Eyes" into a track that progressive house lovers can enjoy and dance to. It's nothing more, but it's enough.

The original version is so characteristic and phenomenal (for this track it's the melody), that any adaptation has to face a dilemma. Either to significantly change the elements and how the track progresses, with a high probability of ending up much worse than the original, or to add the bits conservatively to the track, while preserving the way it goes, which ended up being similar to (and unable to essentially outpower) the original.

For "Sun In Your Eyes", the latter one is much easier. All producers kept with the scheme. Among these remixers, Daniel Kandi, Spencer Brown and Marsh here has never left the theme of the original. Sunny Lax added a 2.0 part. William Orbit has more interpretations. So, when comparing with the different versions, as long as the production quality goes well, what we are comparing is the style of the producers, and it's more or less a matter of personal tastes.

It's good enough for me to listen to a new interpretation of the famous track, and there is of no need to require the track to have anything much more interesting than the original. And Marsh did well enough to preserve the atmosphere of the original.

My favorite remix of this track is William Orbit's, since I think his version does have *something* different and better than the original, and also I'm not the greatest fan of Sunny Lax's 2.0 or Daniel Kandi's uplifting productions.

Aaah the empty drop is slightly cringy...I dont feel this remix and I would never find a reason to listen to this instead of the god-like Kandi remix...

The breakdown is so weak too. How can anyone dance to this? The melody has that typical weak melody. Not enough thought has been put into making the track sound interesting or journey like. Dull atmosphere and annoying siren or whailing electroish leads sounds at the start wtf is that?
I absolutely adore the original. For me, tracks "Sun in Your Eyes" and "Indonesia" have always felt like anthems of spring. It just so happened that I listened to them most often during springtime, and many pleasant memories and life events are tied to these tracks.
While there are remixes with a beat, for me, diluting this track with unpleasant sounds from melodic techno feels like blasphemy. I understand that this is likely just another attempt to capitalize on current trends. For me, Marsh will always just be a sound engineer who knows how to produce quality. But I can’t recall a single track of his from memory; he’s absolutely incapable of creating strong melodies. Perhaps others will disagree, but that’s how I see it

I think it's music for when working at home. Kinda good. Easy, calm, steady.

I think in a club it would be a bit boring. Perhaps useful in a warm-up set though, when the dance floor is a bit empty.

I don't think it's a bad remix, eventhough you could say it's "standard 126 bpm bleepy """progressive"""" trance".

But there was only the original beatless version and the uplifting Kandi one, right? In that case, there was nothing in this mood. So... I don't mind it.

This track has dozens of remixes. If we’re talking about progressive ones, I’d highlight these.
You might argue that Marsh’s work is similar., But no at least this tracks don’t feature those ugly metallic sounds in the percussion. Honestly, if those sounds weren’t present, I would have a much more favorable view of Marsh’s remix.
But as everyone knows, it’s impossible to please everyone, so that’s how it is

See, by your definition you may call this 'progressive trance' but to me it sounds like a typical progressive house track. I don't like the way the chords sound they are boring and flat which are played by Above and Beyond post 2008. But it was played in a club though. It was played by them at Open Air in London and played by Marsh. Even as a house remix there is nothing groovy about it. I work from home and I don't like it at all. I prefer listening to music at home rather than in a club.
