This is something like DALL-E but for sounds. I guess you need to come up with some creative text for electronic music purpose since there are nameless/hard to describe sounds.

Haven't explored that much, but the tracks sounds okay-ish for YouTube Video BGM or corporate videos.

I saw a vid on Alice Yalcin Efe’s channel about this the other day and it made some interesting points.

Comparisons with how the rise of the DAW and switch from analogue to digital workflows was met with a lot of resistance from the older crowd.

Ultimately AI is moving into the creative space faster than we can work out how to effectively use it as artists. It’s creating huge waves in areas such as copyright and the idea of artistic ownership.
But it will continue non-the-less and I think as an artist you have to either work out how to adapt and include the new tech into your workflow or be left behind.

Im not sure how its gonna work - but it will just result in even more producers with no unique style of their own.

But i wonder if it will get so advanced where you could for example tell it to make a track with Digitial Blonde style melodies but with an old skool Ferry Corsten production....surely in years to come it will be able to do that - if it literally stores and remember all the producers sounds.

There will probably remain a niche for “human” music in the same way that custom hand-made iron tea kettles from Japan nowadays can compete with ikea. The question then becomes a matter of (analog) authentication.

I’m far more concerned with the wider implications of a(g) I. Or a(u)I development and emergence. We’re already breaking every safety rule such as “please don’t give it access to the internet” or “keep it in a designated zoo”

There's always something 'ugly', it's hard to put in words but it puts me off from everything that's done by AI solely - images, videos, now music and I've heard that from the others too, that they have this feeling of aesthetic disgust.
