I'd say Airwave does. I think he was more successful, more diverse and had a larger body of work. Plus, his tracks are a lot more memorable as well.Greatest ever producer in trance along with Oliver Lieb? I would say Lieb just edges it.
In my opinion, Oliver Lieb's best tracks are better than Airwave's best tracks, but Airwave has more consistent work and remained a "true" trance producer for far longer.I'd say Airwave does. I'd like to see the comparison of what you think their best are.In my opinion, Oliver Lieb's best tracks are better than Airwave's best tracks, but Airwave has more consistent work and remained a "true" trance producer for far longer.
I'd disagree on all of those points. Oliver Lieb has been producing trance since the early 90s and has released a larger body of work on more labels, especially some legendary ones from early to late 90s.I'd say Airwave does. I think he was more successful, more diverse and had a larger body of work. Plus, his tracks are a lot more memorable as well.
Love both of them, but seriously their styles differ so much, that I can't even compare.Greatest ever producer in trance along with Oliver Lieb? I would say Lieb just edges it.
He hasn't done many techno, tribal, techy type tracks. That's what sways it for me. But, yeah, love em both.
Indeed. Lieb is a much better producer imo.In my opinion, Oliver Lieb's best tracks are better than Airwave's best tracks, but Airwave has more consistent work and remained a "true" trance producer for far longer.
So for Lieb I had in mind Netherworld, Hearts, Amorph, Subraumstimulation, and the Utah Saints Lost Vagueness remix, and for Airwave something like Industry, Souvenir de Chine, When Things Go Wrong (Airwave remix), and Another Dimension.I'd like to see the comparison of what you think their best are.
I agree. He really has hustled during the past decade and made some of the best trance productions in that whole time. Parallel Lines is still unmatched imo.Airwave has released so much work over the last 10 years, most of which I hadn't heard. The last couple of days though I've been going through it steadily and.... wow I'm mega impressed with his modern sound.
He's really matured as a producer and makes highly complex and intelligent music that still retains its emotional impact.
Examples - Laia's Daydream, Chiricauha, the most awesome remix of Audio Noir - One More Night, Today is Made Of Yesterdays, Tigris and Euphrates.... I could go on and on.
Big props to the man, I wish him every success and he deserves it. A lot of producers lose their way or sell out but he's stuck to his sound, developed it and really grown into the best there is in the trance scene.
You've probably heard some of the trance tracks from Parallel Lines, but if you've never checked it out you're missing out on Airwave's non-trance work:I still haven't heard Parallel Lines, and his newer stuff is still good, but I'm just a sucker for his older stuff. Still, he made some belters in the last decade that I still love to listen to. Stuff like Reus Calling and Laia's Daydream are some of the best from his recent stuff.
