Some 90's sounding trance from Alan Backdrop with acid riffs and melodic synths that very floaty which I miss.

My favourite

So after a full listen my favs are: Sira, Infinite Clouds and Floating numbers. Overally a quality 90s like album...but maybe way too much 90s even the mastering isnt modern. These 3 tracks are like 7+/10 from me, the whole album is 6/10

Theres just something about them that I cant get fully behind, and I cant put my finger on why. I like all the different synths and sounds used and there are moments which are very nice, but ultimately I find the tracks boring, no real journey and no real groove or energy. Don't know what it is. It doesnt sound 90s to me either.

The snippets sound lovely, but when I play the entire track/album I feel like it doesn't go anywhere or just not interesting for me over the entire track

depends which mindset youre in i guess. its not gonna be 2004-5 proglifting trance, or even planisphere-o journey. Its not gonna be the "conventional" trance "trance" haha. Sometimes I can listen to techno groovers for hours. Personally i dig this more than for example the trancewax album. that just feels totally constipated for me.

I see what you mean though. the energy levels is kinda more on the mellow/slow/deep/static side. the base of the tracks is pretty monotone, then he basically throws in alot of swirly atmospheric synths over it. so they are very much still a deep-techno based album, mostly.

Those stabby arpeggio lead sounds reminds me of Space Brothers - Shine
