While I enjoy the classic club direction of these tunes, I do feel like these singles all sound too similar. The same type of soundset is used in all these tracks. It would be good to expand the sound palette used. Allan's capable of it, that I'm sure of.

Meh...julian is on to something...they sound flat imo. Kudos for not being maximised bulked up steroid trance but these just sound too lofi/one-dimensional and i just dont like the exaggerated lofi aesthetic at all. It just sounds badly produced and dated for the wrong reasons

I agree with above comments. There is a lo-fi and flatness that I think holds the tracks back. I find myself really liking the melodies in all your tracks though quite a bit, and the classic arrangement/vibe is definitely appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback. I’d maybe be upset if the track didn’t come out exactly how I wanted it to, but it did, and lots seem to be enjoying it.

I’m at a place with my music now where even if no one liked it then it wouldn’t bother me because I do, and for me this is what matters most and my ultimate goal as a producer to be happy with what I am producing. You are never gonna please everyone.

Yh and I'd say (and I think others too) feel more inclined to give this criticism to producers like you because you actually are decent, have the right mindset and/or are much closer to achieving something great when compared to the rest of the 90% of the scene.

True, but the feedback here is on to something none the less.

I really enjoyed the 1st and 2nd release on the label, 3rd was ok but this release is much better and a lot more melodic, however they all kinda seem to have this same filter/character/mood and feels like they're stuck behind a wall/layer of deliberate classic trance sound properties, but at times it does feel too forced / same ish which might be preventing it from sounding great.

Listening to your recent releases since Pain inside on Vandit and Forward charge release on Pure trance and the ones on your own label, they all definitely sound like 1000% produced by you, perhaps just maybe your signature sound is coming off too strong for some people and could do with a dialing back a little particularly the lofi effect/eq and change the structure around here and there to keep things fresh and exciting, or don't because in 1/2 years times this type of sound may be appreciated more in general due to recent trend on everyone attempting to re create the classic sound..so its all feedback only.

Also it sounds very high res and all but could do with a little more umph on the sub bass notes and less dry sounding overall, maybe the bpm is too fast and its just not allowing foe the other elements to breathe, shine and interact with each other properly, which might not even be a production issue for this type of hybrid classic trance formula in trance 2.0 format, so i suppose we can't just ask for it all..

I like the old skool style of his tracks,some nice nods to the past - but i do agree about the sound quality,some levels are a bit off - espeically if you compare directly to an Activa production,which is very clean and pumping,and everything 'sits' right. But everyone has their own style of production, so i cant criticise much really.

its not as crisp as an activa production or as aurally surrounding as say something by paul thomas but i dunno i kind of like the dirtier, rawer style of morrow, sometimes his tunes land for me and sometimes they dont, but its more the tune itself than the production that makes it or breaks it for me. i quite like this one. nice heads down dark nightclub stuff.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think it’s important to clarify that I am not going for a super crisp and clean production on purpose with these tracks on this label. I want them to sound more raw on purpose.

Everyone has their own tastes and if they didn’t we would be in a very diffent world of music. For me I don’t like it when tracks are so squeaky clean. AGAIN I’m not saying don’t have clean & punchy mixes as I literally teach people how to do this with their music and what they want out of it on a daily basis, but with these tracks I am intentionally going for a bit more of an older mixing style like back in the day when
wasn’t so perfect.

I actually have searched for plugins that can incorporate inconsistency in the tracks.

I don’t want them to sound like any other tracks in the scene as I want this label to be different.

Thankfully the label has seen support from the likes of PVD & Solarstone and now had 2 x top 10s from the support of people who are enjoying them and being able to do exactly what I want with the label and still see big support is all I can ask for
