The Mist is amazing!
One listen through and loved the album. Def contender for album of the year for me.

About the pricing its something i have thought a lot about and i really dont think its unfair at all. Every single process of releasing music has gotten at least 30% more expensive last couple of years, while the standard Bandcamp pricing for labels has barely moved (Vinyl prices has recently adjusted luckily) Also for this project i paid for the best mixing, mastering and pressing services there is. Of course the greats back then did not charge the same amount for a release, also did you pay the same for a pint of beer then too?
Follow was already good, but The Mist might be even better. Sound wise you can hear you have gone the extra mile, it is exceptionally well balanced and well worked. This is as good as it gets for modern sound design and other producers in the scene should pay more attention. What I like most about The Mist is the relaxing atmospheric parts and mood, and I hope there is more from you that takes on the same essence in the future, even for faster tempo productions.
By the way, who is Bonna, from your last release @oneofthesame? Sacred Soul was one of my stand outs from the year. I am assuming it is someone from UTE, or affiliated compadre?
Hahah i know the feeling myself.Fair enough, I was one of those piping up. Wasn’t having a dig per se, more an observation. I’m broke as hell 90% of the time, so you gotta understand that being an electronic music collector in these times can be tough and your price is pushing the boundaries. But I hear the quality, you are making beats that are silk to the ears. Maybe one or two extra tracks included and I get a little bit more excited to drop the coin. I’ll say that this alias of yours is dope though, who/what is the influence going on here?
Then i think you are missing the context of the spaces my music is being played at. Of course next to some big-room modern trance artist its basically minimal haha, but compared to the subtelty and minimalism of the underground techno/house scene its for sure more maximal/epic/euphoric than 99% of whats normally being played. I would say most DJ's in this space think my music is too much and cheesy for their own sets. The Mist and Follow are nice tracks. I don't know if I would describe them as big and euphoric, its more atmospheric sounding to my ears.

I love everything vintage Waldorf like the microwave XT, Pulse 1 etc. But for me the most important to my sound is having a analog desk with good EQs and hardware rack effects. So if i do something in the computer i can send it through and give it some life. Saturation from overdriving the desk or the effects is really something thats impossible to recreate with plugins in my experience. The Mist is a sick track
Alvar what hardware do you use for your productions?
