Andre Maier's debut on Borderline, along with John Dopping's Definitions alias, made quite the splash and he returns along with Mark Gosto Goston with a track that wouldn't sound out of the place in the back catalogues of the likes of Euphonic and Vandit.

Mi Amour has all the classic hallmarks of a true trance track and we are proud to bring you this uplifting monster.

Decent. A bit modern/plastic sounding/droid-engine/stock sounding, but also some old school touches. Not sure on this, nice energy to the melody thogh. And 9 mins+.

Here's a longer 'Original Mix' (bleh at that designation) preview:

Was kind of so and so about the first release of the year, but I'm very much into this.

Previews sound promising. I'm a sucker for these subtly changing plucky melodies.

I actuallyt hoguht i was going to dig this, and i thought the kick sounded right this time, it had good enery etc but after listening to it all it just left me with a feeling of naaaah not going back listening to this again. I think the sound-design is subpar/generic. It's dry, snappy and without any color or character the mainsynth feels especially "dry" and flat. Very stock/template sounding. The structure of the track is very blocky/generic. I also usually appreciate when trance is high energy, the good kind, but this pace felt like an afterthought almost, from the creators.

Very decent, but also boring. 6/10

Liking this a lot!

This strikes a perfect balance between classic and modern trance elements. Flows really well, especially from the middle bridge section to the second climax. It's high energy, got great melodies and synthwork, and well produced. Ticks all boxes for me.

Good for me. Would have been nice see it develop more with the idea, as could be classed as a bit samey throughout. A 2nd melody would work well. It's still cool though.
