This sounds like a post I'd write in an alternate reality where Anjuna still released proper Trance, but your eyes aren't deceiving you. News first given on Friday's ABGT where it was played, and confirmed by Andy Moor himself, along with more Whiteroom in the future, I assume signed by Anjuna.

Coming March 22.

That doesnt bode well, or does it?

How many "returning" alias has been good for real?

Comebacks can work i think, but it's rare. The Tilt track from last year (2019?) was very enjoyable.

Good that Whiteroom is getting played on ABGT though, pushes people towards better sounds.

Yeah, that one is pretty nice, although its not their best work eiter. That melody is hypnotic and works, but the beatwork and overall arrangement is pretty boring. But theres countless "returns" that ranges from really bad to mediocre and beyond. Sure, it can work. We'll see. :p

Did the original need a remastering? Sounded good already. Maybe the huge speaker set-ups you could tell. I think if the music is released through Anjunabeats the production and sounds will be good. Just hope its Trance and not some 2.0 farts and/or safe melodic prog.

I was going to say exactly the same thing. I would guess that the copyright has now expired on Liquid Asset, and so maybe they needed to make it superficially different to re-sign it to another label. Or Anjuna are using it as a way to build anticipation for new material.

Oh that's interesting, I didnt know it was particular 'rated' as a big one. Different times back then I guess, with the amount of quality around you could scrutinize more. I've always liked this track. It's commercial sounding in a way, compared to most of the tracks back then. Of course the euro big synth stuff was cheesier, but the heavy use of the choppy vocals does take it into a sort of catchy realm of track.

This track is good because it was made during those years when trance sounded real and organic compared to the modern polished bullshit that has been made for 15 years now. If this track was made today it would fucking suck. The samples and sounds being used make all the difference in the world.

Andy Moor and Adam White combine forces under their Whiteroom moniker to re-release their classic collaboration ‘The Whiteroom’ on Anjunabeats.

‘The Whiteroom’ was originally released in 2004 via the trance label Liquid Asset. It’s one of Above & Beyond’s favourite records - it was debuted on episode three of Trance Around The World, and it was included in A&B’s 2004 BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, which won Essential Mix Of The Year. More recently, it was played live by Above & Beyond for the first time in years in their set for Dreamstate Festival, 2019.

A celebrated name in trance music, Andy Moor runs AVA Recordings, and was GRAMMY-nominated for ‘Best Remixed Recording’ in 2007. His connection with Anjunabeats dates back to 2005 when he collaborated with Above & Beyond on ‘Air For Life’. A year later, the track landed on Above & Beyond’s debut studio album, ‘Tri-State’, which recently celebrated its fifteenth birthday.

The other half of ‘Whiteroom’ is fellow UK-based DJ and producer Adam White. Adam was one of the first Guest Mixers on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World and has released on many classic trance labels including Darren Tate’s Mondo Records, Perfecto Records and Platipus Euro. Aside from making music, Adam has also worked as a label manager and A&R consultant for several labels.

Seventeen years on from the initial release of 'Whiteroom', we’re thrilled to bring this classic track to the label. Andy Moor & Adam White pres. Whiteroom ‘The Whiteroom’ is remastered and out now on Anjunabeats.
