“Reflections feels like a pretty intuitive thing for us. This is a genre that we have a history in, and one we belong in. If you look back on what we've done, on the Above and Beyond albums, there's always been two or three standout downtempo tracks that have connected really well. What's significant about this is that in all the time we've been doing this, there have been a lot of moments where someone suggested setting up a new label. We've always resisted because we wanted to focus on supporting the artists we have. So we only had two frontline labels: Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep. Reflections is our third frontline label.”

“The beautiful thing is, a lot of our artists were already either making stuff like this, or are fully capable of making great music like this. We've got a ready-made artist base to start from. We’ve always focused on emotional, soulful and melodic dance music, so with Reflections, you could probably just remove the ‘dance’ part here”.

When can I hear new music?
Glad you asked! Next week, 16th May we launch Reflections with a brand new two track single from Above & Beyond. We think it’s pretty special, and we think you will too.

I read this and immediately I am thinking "yes, the Trance legends are back" - damn what a shame they still wont to return to those roots, the true history. I don't mind a downtempo label but I worry it will be very corny. Anyway the first Oceanlab album I considered downtempo and it was released on Anjunabeats. Maybe the music they plan on releasing is even more chill. Maybe its lo-fi lol

I lost interest in Anjunabeats around 2010 and since then only kept tabs on A&B's work which has really not impressed me. Maybe I missed some good Trance but feel like they lost their way. I would trade all there new and current labels in for just a small slice of what they had from 2000-2010.

Ha. yeah me too. Everyone would go nuts if it was the case
Most likely it wouldn't be a good comeback anyway because A) they are not the same people they once were B) It would take a lot of practice and time to unlearn the horrible music they've been making. I got banned by both their mods Jer and Arksun who are both assholes btw I can't believe I like arksun's music. I got banned when I had a go at Paavo and Jono on their forum saying what a crock of shit how do you expect trance to comeback when you keep on distancing yourself from the genre?
