Anyone here also into Downtempo, Trip-Hop, Lo-Fi or Chill-Hop music?

These two both have 40+ million plays on Youtube which is something, considered it's just 'lo-fi/downtempo'. It marks a significance in this genre maybe? Or maybe a resurgence and desire for the chill music of the world to come back amongst the obnoxiousness of modern pop, rap, brosteps, edm risers, liquid cheese dnb, sledgahammer kicks etc.

I think the guitar helps with these tracks, it gives them more personality than your standard lo-fi listen. Anyway it's Thursday night sit back a smoke kind of music, I hope you enjoy it if you haven't already discovered via the algorithm

Lol and I was just about to post L'indécis - Soulful. I missed it when it trended in 2018 and just discovered it a couple of months ago.
I think Soulful is so popular because it is basically rhythm and blues, but slowed down. Will Smith also used it in an instagram video, so it probably got a lot of views from that. This is the kind of instrumental that Asian R&B singers would sing over - in fact, here is an obvious copy, if you'd like to hear vocals over a Soulful-like song.
But yeah, the original Soulful is probably one of the greatest electronic music tracks from recent years. It just screams class and sophistication. It's the kind of song that can be enjoyed by anyone, from pop aficionados to metal heads to ravers to urban/hip hop heads to classical music connoisseurs.

@Exodom

If you like Soulful, here's a very nice kchill track with a similar style:

Found it via The Algorithm™ a couple of years ago and started liking it when I got into chill Asian music/rnb. Officially it's "indie pop," but it's in the blurry line between rnb/soul/indie, and you might prefer it over regular lo-fi/chill-hop

Not sure where else to put this, but I'm enjoying it. Released 2 days ago.
