Yeah, I've just discovered that this was voted Tune Of The Year on the ASOT voting for this year and, honestly, I fail to understand what's so special about this track, I mean, the production is good, it doesn't have too much "white noise" as other tracks from A&F would have but that's pretty much it, the melody is pretty banal and forgettable and the vocals just don't add anything to it, it's pretty average at best, I would have much rather seen "Bloodstream" as number one instead of this.

I'm sorry, with all due respect but it seems to me that you're some sort of Armin/A&F fanboy who is just here to magnify a specific track just because. Look, if you like this track, ok, fine, just accept the fact that not everyone has the same opinion as you, and really? This is your argument? "I know your argument is that winning TOTY means nothing.....that actually aint true, it means there must be something about this track...." Ok, do you considered shows like "Secret Story" or "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" as quality TV?Your "out of tune" "generic" and "nothing special" tune just won the Tune Of The Year voting just as I totally expected, because thsi track is actuatlly pure magic, absolutely deserved winner right there, Im so happy for it

This has been the highlight of December for me so far. I have not enjoyed such a furious and euphoric calamity wank since Paul Oakenfold's "one more tequila", which has lasted ten years thus far.
Amazing to see such pioneers of Trance receiving the first place of the chart. These artists have brought us so much quality in the past ten years that it is deserved that they get the recognition they deserve. So pure and classy. A future classic indeed.
Just listened some of the Eco and Thrillseekers classics, but I realized that I have wasted so much time listening to those old farts, when I could have enjoyed these faultless tunes from the magical year of 2021. And what an amazing journey we have ahead in 2022. So much promising talents giving us diverse sounds in all the ASOT episodes.

I feel sorry for those who enjoy listening to out of tune vocals...number 1,what a joke haha. But...expected.
Im not a Armin/AF fanboy. Im a classic lover....but I can appreciate the new stuff as well.
I was reacting to comments saying that this track has no chance of being TOTY, cause of out of tune vocals.
...and BTW this track is NOT out of tune, what is actually happening in the track is key change in the middle of the track which is pretty unusual and you might concider it as out of tune, cause its a sudden and unexpected change...there is no chance that Armin or Fia would put out ouf of tune track anyway...they both have pretty good hearing and they are in the music industry for such a long time

To write a little "technical" part about the vocal... here's what I don't like:
What happens in this track, is that the vocalist "travels" to the notes, and not instantly hits notes right away. It's mostly with the first words of a sentence, or words that are sung longer than others.
So for example, the sentence in the song "in my mind" is sung very ugly, in my opinion. The "ma" (in maaa mihihind) is a good example of a note that is not hit instantly, but she starts a bit lower, and then raises the note until it's what it's supposed to be. Like a short pitch bend.
Some vocalists do that as a feature. But in this song I find it to sound a bit "false" rather than artistic.
This might make no sense written down in poor english. Anyway. Conclusion: I like it when it's "snap" right on the note.
Same with:
"Can weeeee go back in time".
The "We" is very ugly. She starts way too low, and then rises up during "weeee", in stead of a clean "Can" followed with a clean higher "weee".
Also: the mastering is crap, my volume isn't very loud at all, and my monitors are cracking a bit here and there, even in the breakdown. It's clipping like hell.

That was my reaction after hearing the track for the first time in some kind of set rip. Its true, I admit that I found the vocals a bit off after the listen. Because there was this strange change of the mood in the middle of the track...
But hearing the full thing many times, I just think that its the change of harmony makes everyone think its off, including me, when I heard it for the first time

Well, it's pretty much the usual all over the place white noise Aly & Fila production but yeah, it's definitely way better than this one.
I think Armin tracks should be excluded in the future.
Proof that it only won because of the name of the artists attach to them. For All Time is a horrible track.
