Released: 1998
Label | Cat#: Kontor Records | Kontor035

Club Mix - in effect the 'original' mix, sometimes credited as the Clubb Mix.

9PM Mix - slightly more interesting than the original IMO.

Sequential One Remix - not part of Kontor035, but in fact released later by Ministry of Sound, this is the 'UK version' of 9PM AFAIK. Sequential One was André Tanneberger, Morpha, Sule Tuna, Ulrich Pöppelbaum, and Woody van Eyden, though membership varied over the years.

Later Edit: This may be a tad...not allowed? But this unofficial breaks remix of 9PM is pretty decent:

Hearing the original German version after getting so used to the UK Sequential One remix was very jarring for me, it has never sounded quite right. SO mix is much more suspenseful, and those few rising bass notes at the end of the pattern make a big difference.

Ministry of Sound must have known they were onto a winner in the UK with this one, it got a shedload of remixes including Signum and Matt Darey who were both at the absolute peak of their popularity. But in the end it was mostly the Sequential One version that got played, and made it to #1 in the pop charts, probably the tranciest single ever to do so.

Amongst the remixes, these less conventional versions from Nick Muir and Bent are quite interesting.

Personally, I never got the hype for 9 PM (Till I Come) because the only version I knew for years was the original mix. Then I heard the Sequential One version in the Radio 1 Ibiza Prom video and thought it sounded super epic. Never actually ID'd it as the Sequential One remix until years later, around 2018-2019.
I wonder what the title refers to. Why 9 PM? And what does "Till I Come" refer to? Is it meant to be sexual/suggestive? Or is ATB literally arriving somewhere at 9 PM?
(asking the right questions, hah)

Why 9 PM?

ATB was showing a girlfriend round his new studio at his home in Germany when he started showing off his instruments to her. He got carried away by a guitar sound he was creating on his new producing deck, forgot about his girlfriend and 3 hours later at 9pm decided to save the track he'd created. He thought that as it was 9pm he'd save it under that name.

A few days later, when he was finishing the track, Andre used some whispering vocals lifted from a TV appearance from Spanish model Yolanda Riviera, where she says, "Till I come" hence the title 9pm (Till I Come).

**The voice sample 'Till I Come' is taken from the track 'Ricky Rich & Julio Posadas - The Way You Make Me Feel' released on Container Records in 1998.

Maybe they both sampled it.

if you Google ATB and Yolanda Rivera you find a lot. There are even video clips where the artist is shown as ATB featuring Yolanda Rivera.
