I think that "Forward Ever" is the most ATBish track in ages. It sounds like an unreleased track from "Future Memories" album era (2009). It has a vocal version too ("You're The Last Thing I Need") but it completely ruins the instrumental in the background and the voice is a bit off. The rest of the EP is a typical dance-pop, nothing worth mentioning.

I never been a fan of him, maybe in the 90s and his Sequentail One project. But I must admin that Forward Evev and Starfire are both rather nice and I can enjoy them a lot :)

So in August this year I've seen ATB performing his first set after 1.5 years, which was in Ukraine (Underhill Festival).
At one point of his set he said "and now I'm gonna play a brand new track from me never played before" - and it was "Forward Ever" which was the closing tune. I actually enjoyed hearing it live and was surprised to hear smth trancy, as his set was strictly trouse + few popular classics (incl. classics reworks).
And this tune reminded me a bit of 'Distant Earth' from 10 years ago.

As one of his biggest fans, maybe even number 1, I've always thought why people can't look below the surface. Ofc his most famous songs are his most commercial ones. But he always had an equal or bigger amount of underrated songs in every album he released. Anyways Forward Ever and Starfire take me back at least 10 years.

It does have that album vibe

Moments like these can definitely affect your view on the track. I am still very active, visiting trance parties every month, I guess many of the users here are rather home listeners and sometimes cant appreciate the tracks from the live perspective...

I agree Future Memories resembles the 2009s ATB, however it lacks a bit of finesse. It sounds to me a bit more like Dash Berlin than ATB.
Ironically I prefer the vocal version (You're The Last Thing I Need), although very poppish :)
Overall a decent effort, but nothing more.

Little bump of this thread 😇

I don't know what up with Andre, but he always loves to use planes in his videos. I can remember quite a few of his older videos having a plane fly by. Sometimes I walk around London see I plane and immediately I remember one of his songs.
