Some nights you just cry yourself to sleep because "that one" track haven't seen the light of day. What is your favourite track which never got released for whatever reason?

Here's one from me:
Cape Town - Apollo 13 (Ferry Tayle Neverending Story Intro Mix)

It's honestly his best track since his Carnet De Vol album.

Skylex - Helios [2017]

The Orbion remix got released near the end of 2017 and Skylex released an alternate version under his Luther alias apparently in 2019. The original never did for some reason, which is a shame since it's one of the most beautiful and melodic tracks of modern trance in my opinion.

Paul van Dyk's Avid City is always the first that comes to mind:

And of course, SUN SLIP! I'm not sure why this was never finished, and by now Will Atkinson's style has changed too much to make it worth finishing/releasing.

I find it frustrating this specific version of Say Hello never was released. It's amazing

PVD has probably half of his productions tagged as unreleased, but this and Avic City already posted take the cake. To think Mandalay was produced sometime around late 98, early 99, speaks volume for the quality.

The best part is that all of those unreleased tracks have a consistent style, so they are definitely by PvD himself rather than ghost-produced

PVD pretty much had the same sound between 98-2007, and you can say to some extent, at least the baseline stays the same even today. But these unreleased tracks are some of the best tracks you can find in trance, just a shame that many of them couldn't clear publishing rights

Speaking of Paul van Dyk, I've been wanting Neptune Project's remix of Crush for a couple of years by now, but it just doesn't seem like it's getting a release. This makes me wonder if he's keeping it exclusive to his own sets or something like that.

Paul has played the remix on and off for 2+ years now, so I guess it'll go down as one of those set exclusives

Society London - SPQR [2001]
This appeared in a James Holden essential mix but was never picked up by any label. There seems to be no information about who "Society London" is, either. I imagine this was never released formally because (and this is pure speculation) its sample of Nitro Deluxe - Let's Get Brutal was never cleared. Again, this is purely speculation. My guess for the producer is that James Holden himself created this track, as it feels like a prototype of Nothing (93 Returning Mix) with its rolling bassline. That being said, SPQR is different enough from James Holden's other work from that time, which is why it was released under a moniker.

Whoever made it created a very good progressive track, though, and it's certainly worth listening:

Not quite sure on the best unreleased track but I really like some of Maor Levi's unreleased material such as this one he made available on his Soundcloud for download a while back:

The NP Remix of Crush chreddy posted above is also one of my favourites.

Scott Bond & Charlie Walker vs Trouser Enthusiasts - Sweet Release (ASOT2017 Extended Mix)

Yes, this one got released and yes, an extended mix of it got released as well. The extended mix however sounded very different from the radio edit, the version played on ASOT and the version used in ASOT2017. I looked everywhere but couldn't find the original extended version of the tune, which is a shame because the changes made in the final extended version made it sound much rougher and took away the charm the softer, original version had in my opinion.
