Not quite sure on the best unreleased track but I really like some of Maor Levi's unreleased material such as this one he made available on his Soundcloud for download a while back:

The NP Remix of Crush chreddy posted above is also one of my favourites.

This is a great track as well. I don't see it on his soundcloud account. Do you have the track?

Im surprised this has not been posted yet.

" This was recorded in 1998, it was inspired by ‘Der Dritte Raum - Hale Bopp’, a fact so obvious listening to it now and one that I was very aware of at the time - subsequently the track was never really finished. It’s also very, very long and could probably have been edited down a lot. I liked the vocal sample in it, but again, there was something about the track which I was never completely happy with, hence it was never released or sent to any labels! Every track you produce is part of a learning curve, so they don’t HAVE to be released, plus if you don’t insist on releasing absolutely everything you produce you can end up with a nice archive full of bits & bobs which can be used in other tracks. "

Solarstone - Teela

Sadly this one was left unreleased all those years ago, when Black Hole released Tiësto's Magikal Journey compilation. Only Tyas' other remix was released, which just isn't as good as this imo.

LOL I remember this track being brought up on the old forum. What is the story behind it? Why does it even exist?

I'm not even sure if there even is any story. And if there is I don't remember it.
I know Daniel Kandi is behind Sky0cean though, possibly Sebastian Brandt as well? At least I recall reading something like that in the past.

Would love this fantastic remix from John O'Callaghan to be released.

I think it's even better then Nu NRG remix :)

What I meant is that they probably don't belong here, as self-released tracks are those that have been released, just not in a download store ;)
I agree. Those would fit in the "rare tracks not found in download stores."
I think this thread is mainly for tracks that appeared in promo vinyls/CDs but were never picked up by a label (ex. Society London - SPQR), or that only exist as recordings from radio shows and live sets (Sun Slip, PvD - Avid City).

Oh I have four tracks, well, bootlegs or remixes mainly, to add to this thread!

Key4050 - The Key to Speed (remade into the crappy generic track Equinox)

Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (Key4050 Rework)

Amiel - Love Song (Myon & Shane 54 Remix)

Astor Piazzolla - Libertango (Matias Faint Reinterpretation) (you know, when Heatbeat still made awesome melodies)
Preview can be found here: Download Astor Piazzolla - Libertango (Matias Faint Reinterpretation) №19363537 - mp3.pm

The original version of Photographer - This is Upstep.

This was a great brostep-inspired trance track and, in my opinion, one of the very few that integrated both genres well.
The final release was... not good. Photographer got rid of the subtle wobbles in the main section and added extremely annoying dubstep sounds, which make it unlistenable even 8 years later.
For me, the only version that matters is the original unreleased version.

I really REALLY wanted that one back in the days! These days it's nothing too special to me, but I have to agree that this is waaaaaay better than the released version.
