Comeback of Bjorn Akesson (first release since 2020) and a debut of his own imprint called BA Origins.




A few words from Bjorn (source: Facebook):

I am excited to embark on a new chapter and share my vision with the world through my own imprint, BA Origins. This has been a long-held dream of mine, and I am thrilled to finally take action. BA Origins represents the core values that I believe are at the heart of music-making - having fun, following one's passions, and self-expression.

Over the past few years, I have reevaluated my priorities and my place in the music industry. While I am not sure where this new venture will take me, I know that it is something I must do. I want to create something that is entirely mine, without any external pressures or expectations.

I wish I could bring other artists onto this, but due to time and priorities, this is not possible at the moment, and might never be. For now, I am taking things one step at a time. The first release will be announced and released this month.

I am grateful to my friend Andrew Marc for his exceptional talent in designing the logo, artwork, and visualizer for BA Origins. It is always a pleasure to work with a professional who is both skilled and honest, and who helps bring my vision to life without compromising on quality.

I legitimately am loving this! Has a nice late 2000s/early 2010s vibe to it. Great to see Bjorn making some solo productions again.

5:39 - I'm guessing more splashed than submerged. The tune is decent but doesn't catch me like Perfect Blue, Sunchaser, Without You etc. I hope there's more tunes to come, he's a capable producer.

Clean sounding production but musically quite lacklustre. Main melody doesn't quite gel in well with the rest of the track.
