Look at me bumping an old thread lol.
Video in the first post seems to be borked. Here's another sample:
@dmgtz96 The name of the track, much like other Breeder tracks, is related to a place where Sasha & Digweed used to play.
Specifically, 530 W27th Street in NY, between 1995 and 2001 the location of the Twilo 'superclub'. Twilo Thunder refers to the thunderous bass of the club's Phazon sound system, which both Sasha & Digweed praised as one of the best at the time.
Killahurtz's West on 27th released under Hooj is also a direct reference to Twilo's address.
Twilo Thunder is credited as the Stoked Up Mix on the release due to the place it was engineered at, The Midi Rooms, which to the best of my knowledge, was located in Stoke-on-Trent at the time of this release.
If you take a look at Breeder's other tracks, the pattern becomes apparent:
RHYSYN001 (A) - The Chain (Babealicious Mix) - takes its name from the event at
The Old Barn where Sasha & Digweed played in 1994
RHYSYN002 (A) - Twilo Thunder (Stoked Up Mix) - as mentioned above
RHYSYN006 (A) - Tyrantanic - pretty sure this is a reference to the
Tyrant nights at fabric in London, where Sasha also played. Further supported by the center label text on The Chain:
A big thank you to Nigel Dawson, John Digweed, Sash,
Mick & Mick, Lee Burridge, Jerry, Whoop and all at Tyrant,
Chief, Gringo and special thanks to Tomos for running things
Not too sure about the Club Caribou Mix of Clayface and the others, but these ones seemed obvious.
