Yeah, we can't really have a "classic" section without one of the biggest classics ever: Class & Slide - Perception. To me it has always been about the vocal mix, which was released in 2000. The original, non-vocal mix, was released in 1999 on Automatic Records while re-released on Additive with the vocal mix.
It was featured on ISOS 2 and each time I listen to that compilation I turn the volume to max when this track plays. Enjoy!

i think vocals fit good so i prefer the vocal version but both are equally good.

A track that I occasionally forget, but am always glad to re-discover.
When I first heard Perception ~9 years ago I didn't think much of it. I wasn't interested in hearing vocals in trance, haha.
Eventually I realized this track was brilliant and had an amazing, progressive build-up. The little break that happens around 5 minutes in when the vocals kick in is hauntingly beautiful. It's just the beats, slight percs, the background pads, and Naimee Coleman's vocals. From there, the track keeps building up until it reaches its climax around 7 minutes in.
One of the best things about this track is that the beats rarely stop, which is nice to hear especially in trance from this era. It feels like something Breeder or an early classic trance producer would have made.

Markus schulz didn't do anything to do with all he did was a made a clone and put his name on it. It sounds so watered down.

One of the best vocal Trance tracks ever imo - a very rare occasion where they added vocals to a track and it takes it to another level. I like how the first part of the track is just great Progressive Trance,and you wouldnt expect the vocal if you heard it first time.

Agreed. The original instrumental version sounds better of the two available back then, but to my ears Justine's vocals are just a better fit.
