Lovely track. Works great as opener or closing track. This reminds me of my long busrides watching the sunset as a teenager with a mp3 -player full of trance. :)

Hadn't heard this in a while.
Some thoughts with fresh ears and several years of experience listening to music:

0:14 - special effect that is VERY early 2000s. Love to hear it in music from this era. Gives it an outer space vibe.
0:29 - great ambient-like special effect to introduce the section with percs and beats. This same special effect pops up afterwards at 1:10.
0:42 - background melody oscillating back and forth underneath the main melody (the "Robert Miles - Children" melody). This melody has been there since 0:14. It gives the track depth and a punchier feeling.
0:56 - the signature high hats that make this track. Without them, Destiny Sunrise would not have been Destiny Sunrise.
1:39 - background bassline/mid-range, which I had never heard before with bad speakers. Like with the oscillating melody, this adds depth to the track.
2:07 - ambient voices/synths kick in
3:02 - first break. You can feel the energy receding to make space for the breakdown.
3:16 - the breakdown feels tight. I love how most components (bassline, percs, signature high hats) were retained throughout the break. This whole section is seamless
4:26 - first proof that this is a Transa track ;)

Honestly, I'm a big fan of how this track progresses and develops. It never really "blows up" as much as it gradually builds up. It retains its pacing and drive even when it's losing energy, which is VERY difficult to pull off in trance. Only truly elite, skillful producers can make a track like Destiny Sunrise.
No wonder Tiesto chose it as the intro for Nyana.

Original and m.i.ke remix were brilliant tracks back then.

M.I.K.E remix worth a listen too. A less carefree version, a different mood.
