These are all pretty sick. Slaps hard, nice psy techno and trance combos. The first (Satori) and last (Ahism) tracks here are my pick but can get down with all of these.

Satori

Kali

Universal Consciousness

Ahisma

Ive been listening to the more melodic Techno that borders on Trance lately - pretty much this style...these are ok alhough they hardly do anything hehe! I suspect once you get the elements together, they must be pretty easy to make hehe.

Really like her stuff. I have a liking for some good Acid Techno :sneaky:

Kali and Ahisma for me out of the bunch.
The latter has some serious Platipus vibes. Reminds me of a heavier version of ‘Swarm’ by Art of Trance.

Good EP, she has changed her style from a few years ago.

Check out the other EP on the label - Amazingblaze - Venture EP

Had the distinct pleasure to watch her a play a couple of years ago in rotterdam. Been listening to her sets ever since.

Excellent work from Charlotte as usual,

It's okey but it's too basic too me. Feels like something you can make i a couple of hours..
oh good luck with that.

you don't want to count the amount of hours i've spend making something like that without it sounding like a casio keyboard preset. Techno, especially the type she makes is damn hard to get right. trust me on that one.

Yeah, you prolly right . But it still comes a cross basic to my ears. The overall arrangement and build/layering.

Isn't this Techno in a nutshell though? I agree with you though, and it's not common for me to put these on as individual tracks for a listen all the way through. In a set however it sounds awesome though. Def music built for the live environment.

Techno is a sort of 'mixology' music... back in the days a good techno dj could play 3 tracks at once and when you were not familiar with the track IDs you had no chance to recognize it.. also 35 tracks in one hour mix was a pretty standard thing... so loopy and minimalistic tracks were always very welcome in the genre..

I can't rate this EP, im running away from this 'bigroom' style, it hurts my love for Techno so much,..

Agreed. I like that Charlotte's moving away from basic Drumcode techno but it feels really incomplete. I heard Kali in a set and I get that it's trying to be psychedelic and hypnotic but it just felt empty (and don't get me started on chanting samples). It still very much seems structured like a Drumcode-style track rather than more uptempo, industrial techno as well.

Sorry for the ignorance but i don’t know that this was big room techno. I thought big room music was like cheese and edm? Is it really the big room style?

I also feel trance and psychedelic aspects to the tracks in this EP, I really like it, but appreciate the other perspective.

Its mostly made for festivals and big lasershow arena events.. I don't want to believe that there are techno freaks who are really into it, it must be people who are new to techno.. I call it 'bigroom techno', but also 'mainstream techno' would fit, the internet knows it under the name 'business techno'

I don't disagree entirely, however I think that bigroom techno (or future techno/future rave as they also call it) is more like Maddix or Hardwell's new style (and btw I think that Maddix is even better than Hardwell with this new style)

I wouldn't call De Witte's sound properly "big room", more like "peak time/driving" as Beatport calls it :p

Anyway... always digging her style a lot. I understand the "techno" purists don't like her, but this is 100 times better than any average trance song that you can hear today.

The track sounds like Italian Hard Trance or early Hardstyle.)

The good thing in todays Techno is that there is alot of fresh air and variations in sound, but I also think in the next 2 or 4 years will be Techno pretty dead and will become underground again, hopefully
