This dudes observational comedy is brilliant. Seen him live precovid times and he was brilliant.

Christ. Genuine question, do you like anything that isn't just railing against so-called "wokeness"?

Leo Kearse is a real stand-up guy (pun intended):

Leo Kearse polled just 114 votes in yesterday’s Scottish Parliamentary election.

The comic - who was standing for Laurence Fox’s Reclaim Party – won the support of just 0.3 per cent of those who voted in the Glasgow Pollock constituency.

And, with perfect timing, this from just today:

GMB cancels its OWN cancel culture debate after comedian Leo Kearse said women in burkas 'look like letterboxes'
Wow. Real top-drawer stuff there. Look out, left-wing comedians!

I always favoured George Carlin and thought he was the GOAT. His standup specials were always perfectly crafted and perfectly executed. And full of angry-old-man energy! Just love that. Legendary guy.

After him, maybe Bill Burr. Reminds me of Carlin, though he has an angry-uncle kind of vibe. Feels like he's your uncle or just a friend who's always talking some shit, hating on everything.

Dave Chappelle lost all his energy though. His standups prior him quitting Chappelle Show were great, he always had some sort of energy to him, and it was addictive. Funny as hell, and the jokes were always a priority. Now, however, he has no energy and has turned political and social all of a sudden.

But none of that compares to the late, great Norm Macdonald. His comedy in general is so weird and unique, and it just resonates with me. It definitely takes some getting used to. Me Doing Standup is one of the best stand up specials I've ever watched. Every joke is perfectly crafted, every word is where it should be, and it's all about the jokes and the humour. He isn't trying to fight social (in)justice, make statements or whatever. Just came there to make jokes.

Shane Gillis is also pretty nice, also just about the jokes, and funny as hell. Recommend checking out this special and his YT channel in general. Lots of great sketches.

How come this is the first time I see this thread.

The boy did it again. Very good special from Gillis. Love his material.

If this was the one that came out a month ago I watched it. 6.6/10. Joke topics were way too bait (obvious) and lots of generic shock factor stuff for the sake of it. I usually don't like sex joke stuff but that section got the most laughs from me, was very good. His Trump impression was one of the best ive ever seen, I did enjoy that end section but could have done more and again less bait. His story telling is the style of a your mate sitting down telling a story to you in the bar, with no concern about being PC or sounding stupid because you are mates. Its not a bad style but definitely never gonna reach top tier heights.

Yeah that's exactly why I like it. Just some random funny dude telling jokes. No preaching, no agenda. Just jokes. Probably not gonna reach Norm Macdonald heights, true, but I don't feel the need to be critical about his standup that much, whereas I hold people like Dave Chappelle to a higher standard (to which he rarely lives up to).

I also thought his first special was much stronger than this, and his sketch material (Gilly & Keeves) is also fantastic.
