Im starting to think as I don’t watch the news much (it’s depressing) and just pick up bits here and there from friends and the internet, i shouldn’t post stuff too much as cant honestly substantiate a big debate around stuff i say with responses from others (such as yourself) about other things that ‘might’ be relevant as I don’t always know about every other thing musk or whoever has done. Saying that, i still stand by my word thinking he has a powerful influence and definitely uses it, im scared he may have negative intentions. Id absolutely ’love’ to be wrong. I love being wrong more than being right. It’s how we learn. Trump however I am less convinced he isn’t a dangerous turd. Again might be wrong, would absolutely love to be. But it would be hard to convince me that he isn’t in general a dangerous turd. For one. His views on abortion which obviously greatly influences US states is very very bad. I don’t think anyone can argue with the fact they will cause much unnecessary pain and have already. This is something that shows the calibre of the man. Its dispicible.

If by “they” you mean his (media) detractors: they will nitpick from his word salad and lie whenever they can, yes.

the degree to which trump is pro choice has changed over the years. But the fact that he is pro choice stands and the reason why pro life advocacy groups are very displeased with him.

Trump supports:

abortion in case of rape,
abortion in case of incest
abortion in case of health
abortion in, whatever case the individual State in question deems said abortion acceptable, even if thats beyond 3e trimester.

or at the very least, believes the federal level should not intervene or determine for said State what is or isn't acceptable (for or against)

It's what people ages 50+, much of his voter base, genuinely believe in. We're kind of insulated from those views if you're young or are into the European dance music scene, (which is largely comprised of LGBTQIA+).
The Conservative subreddit is having a field day.

Imo, he will destroy all legal protections for LGBTQIA+, including gender-affirming care. Everyone who works in those fields better find a new job asap.

I think the entire subject surrounding gender dysphoria and/or how one personally sexually identifies has, both culturally and medically/psychologically, over last 2 decades been utterly hijacked by activists who're only interested in disrupting anything that is or was normal/sound for the sake of revolution and "equality". instead of actually caring for the wellbeing of patients suffering from GD.

Ending up in the bizar situation where gender , which used to be naught but a linquistic term, is now pushed as the 100% personalizable and customizable holy golden standard for sexual identification with over 72 substrata, turning sex and sexual identity into a commodity, that can be purchased like any other market item. (as well as a pending need for every person having a master in stratigrapy just to avoid being sued for "misgendering")

Which of course isn't true. At best there is a core of truth in there.. You are not júst how you see or would like to see yourself,

Any individual is in a nuttshell a combination of:

- how one sees oneself
- how one is percieved by its surroundings
- measurable (biological) trademarks.

I think Trump's remarks on this are a call back to normalcy. wherein there is ofcourse room for sóme genuine exceptions such as individuals genuinly suffering from Gender dysphoria, which is by my knowledge a recognized serious medical condition in the US. But where the focus is on the overal majority, not (just) the 0.6% minority.

The way I interpret the US system and legal system (but maybe @dmgtz96 can correct me on this if wrong) is that the president or the federal level actually has very little to dictate concerning culture and, on the business end, (capitalist) medical practices, which are regulated on the individual state level. It is simply unconstitutional to do so, a document to which the president is bound.

Put short, there isn't very much Trump can do against intersex, transgender. or "2 spirit" or what have you, like whats he gonna do? declare them all terrorists and throw them in concengaytion camps? its not gonna happen.

The best he can do afiak is:

-Reiterate/ put restrictions on age/ age of consent, which i actually think is a good thing. after 18, go nuts, but not before.
-pull federal funding if there was any to begin with, which given the way the US is set up i actually don't mind. again. healthcare is on the state level.
and "passports" which by my knowledge already refer to sex at birth, but i could be wrong.
