yes...it is pretty disturbing.

Hence why I actually hope "the left" finds it in itself to actually bé the party of common (working) man again.. instead of the party of everyone else except them. Even from "my political side" who is gaining traction across the board in the west at least..its not good to have an opposition be so out of touch with the situation on the ground and their head in the clouds. I think some serious naval staring needs to be done and certain ideas discarded.

Also: And I'm sorry to say this Adam...but the "They where evil pieces of shit al along" is just stupid and tribalistic reddit copium.

ya....the entire corpus of voters who voted obama in twice with margin to spare turned "evil"over night because what...alex Jones put something in the water? 😄 ofcourse not.
dems know they can’t win elections without men and they do nothing effective to draw them in. A lot of younger guys (18-25) just don’t care about the Democratic Party. Democrats spent millions of dollars reaching out, but young men shrugged and thought *oh so will you finally treat us like equals now?*

meanwhile, there’s a bunch of clueless people on the left who say “oh I’ve never felt out of place just for being a guy” and statements like that just feel like gaslighting when so many major media organizations acknowledge that the left offers very little to men lol and when so many guys say the exact same thing about left wing spaces

Dear lord wtf is this place
Just embrace the rot. There’s a major right wing, anti-immigration wave in the world right now and there’s nothing you or your political side can do to stop it. People are fed up.

your side just doesn’t have the political power, control over mass media, and influence over today’s culture. Everything left wing from the 2010s is waning.

probably time for you to adapt

The pendulum will undoubtedly swing back one day.. for now the left I think needs to reinvent itself, and just wait patiently till the right fucks up/takes things too far. Which they will..

So.... nothing we've seen even in the last year was enough of a redline?

I just gained a lot of respect for him, man seems to keep some genuine artistic standards in the face of in-group (political/ideological) pressure.

The use of "woke" in this context is embarrassing for the right and they are so blind they cannot see it.
Yes. we are woke. Woke to the bullshit MSM constantly publishes. Woke to the narrative that the billionaires have controlled for so long. So yes, they are absolutely right, we are woke. They are asleep.

Like I said, embarrassing.

No, because people are more interested in voting against democrats than voting for republicans specifically. A lot of votes this year will be against republicans, but that’s not because democrats are good political candidates. Most democrats suck, tbh

Yeah, dems basically need to become the party of the American working class. Right now, the perception is that they’re basically only for educated upper middle class.
Republicans fucking up is how Democrats will win

Idris Elba would have made a great Bond. You need someone who can do suave and sophisticated, but also be an action hero at the same time, as the movies today emphasize that kind of athletic, tough, trained killer version of Bond. Quite a hard ask to find that combination in a British actor today. Henry Cavil comes to mind, but both too old for the role now.

Alien would be labelled woke if it came out today, due to Ellen Ripley's strong female competence in the face of all the featured male incompetence and weakness. Point is, the Right is obsessed with viewing everything through a political lens, and cannot entertain the idea that a diverse choice might simply be because the director this more than the alternatives.

On the flip side, many on the Left did indeed go overboard with identity politics and definitions of what it means to be politically correct, and people are fatigued by it all, my left-wing friends and family included. It triggered the Right to react to diversification of content in the way I described, as they feel that ideology is permeating into yet another facet of life. To them it's become identity > quality, and in some cases that's been the case, but to what extent, we will never really grasp it I dont think. Best to give the benefit of the doubt and not make it another culture war topic in my opinion.

The term woke has been bastardized by identity politics long since Melvin Kelly coined it.

Woke is very much alert to racial injustice and systemic prejudice, unless someone like Nowak or Canadian truckers coming along. then its eardeafening crickets. wrong skin tone presumably.
Woke is very much against MSM, Unless its orange man bad innuendo churned out ad nauseum which strokes the confirmation bias of said wokies, then its whalloping in blue-anon theories galore.
Woke is very much against billionaires unless its "their" bankers, billionaires and institutions and filthy rich politicians.

Its identity politics taken to the extremes. Everything has to be an oppressor and an oppressed. Its the movement of empty virtue signalling, cancel culture, anti-merrit and speech policing in the name of some sort of moronic race/gender communist utopia. Its a shorthand for left-wing overrreach that prioritizes feefies, equity of outcome, and symbolic gestures over evidence, practicality or universal principles.

Woke in this day and age is what is embarrasing. its utter kanker. and I for one and glad to see it die like the passing trend that it is.

Alien is the right wing’s ideal of representation. It’s not pandering at all.
Really, right wingers have more of a problem with obvious pandering and forced representation

That's the problem right there. Two words explain it all.
Everything is tribal now, there's no middle ground or nuance anymore because everyone feels like they need to pick a side on every issue.
When one side views the other as supporting racists, sexists, fascists, that wants to get rid of women’s and minorities’ rights, I don’t think you can ever reach a middle ground. You see the language facade1984 is using, and that’s a pretty standard example of how left wing supporters view republicans

It basically becomes a question of, why would republicans even *want* to reach a middle ground with democrats? Why not just go full unhinged, take as much power as possible, modify the laws for their own benefit and continued governance, and so on?

I’m not the one in a cult. You should see how the black American community is reacting to Karmelo Anthony’s conviction. Things like that are why I eventually moved away from the left and am basically far right by now
