So, what are some cool websites that you know of? It can be anything!

shows you a computer generated image of a person every time you refresh. Sometimes there are some weird artifacts in the images but often they look very real

How's the weather on the opposite side of the world?

Create your own music!

A game about squares - for the most part

A pretty cool particle simulator

Listen to live radio all over the world by navigating an interactive globe

Hi,

I’m a website. I’ll be gone soon, and that’s okay.

You can send me messages using the form below. If I go 24 hours without receiving a message, I’ll permanently self-destruct, and everything will be wiped from my database.

That’s okay though.

Until then, let me know how you’re doing. Other people will be able to read what you write, but your name or identity won’t be attached to anything, so feel free to say what’s on your mind.

It’s been a rough few months.

With love,

ThisWebsiteWillSelfdestruct (dot) com

P.S. I believe in an internet free from invasive ads and online tracking. To that end, this website is supported by donations from people like you. There are links to support this website at the bottom of the page.

Just want to make a note about that last website, the self destruct one - it might seem quirky and fun, but reading through some of the messages people have posted to keep the page alive is honestly heart breaking. Some are fun, some cringy and some are just weird, but from time to time you read a message with something to tell and it's not always sunshine and happy days.

Oh, and sometimes you get these:
What if teeth were flaccid and got hard when you got hungry

Dear Website, the background color for this website is the same as the skin on my penis

Great websites, man! Definitely something for the "I'm really bored" kind of days. Wish I had something to share.

Ever wanted to send a message to your past self? What would you do if you woke up and the last ten years had been a dream? Would you change anything, do something differently?

Hello From The Future is a project that allows you to read messages from people that they wish they had at your age.

Asterank is a scientific and economic database of over 600,000 asteroids.

We've collected, computed, or inferred important data such as asteroid mass and composition from multiple scientific sources. With this information, we estimate the costs and rewards of mining asteroids.

Details on orbits and basic physical parameters are sourced from the Minor Planet Center and NASA JPL. Composition data is based on spectral classification and size. Our calculations incorporate conclusions from multiple scientific publications in addition to cross-referencing known meteorite data.

The highest resolution of the universe from Hubble. 1 GB image file

Full Res, 25500 X 25500, TIF (1.19 GB)

UBBLE'S WIDE VIEW OF THE EVOLVING UNIVERSE

This Hubble Space Telescope image represents the largest, most comprehensive "history book" of galaxies in the universe.

The image, a combination of nearly 7,500 separate Hubble exposures, represents 16 years' worth of observations.

The ambitious endeavor, called the Hubble Legacy Field, includes several Hubble deep-field surveys, including the eXtreme Deep Field (XDF), the deepest view of the universe. The wavelength range stretches from ultraviolet to near-infrared light, capturing all the features of galaxy assembly over time.

The image mosaic presents a wide portrait of the distant universe and contains roughly 265,000 galaxies. They stretch back through 13.3 billion years of time to just 500 million years after the universe's birth in the big bang. The tiny, faint, most distant galaxies in the image are similar to the seedling villages from which today's great galaxy star-cities grew. The faintest and farthest galaxies are just one ten-billionth the brightness of what the human eye can see.

The wider view contains about 30 times as many galaxies as in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, taken in 2004. The new portrait, a mosaic of multiple snapshots, covers almost the width of the full Moon. Lying in this region is the XDF, which penetrated deeper into space than this legacy field view. However, the XDF field covers less than one-tenth of the full Moon's diameter.
