Excited to hear that @Coredata will be releasing a new single in Pure Progressive.

Jonny Royall aka Coredata returns with more hypnotic, layered acidic trance music. At +10 minutes there are no shortcuts, instead are meticulously programmed immersive & tense filter builds, gritty resonant sequences, precise 909 & 808 percussion & plenty of drama.

Knew this one week ago (around July 4) from the Pure Trance team. I could not find any previews available in public, but the track title, label, cover image and release date are almost certain.

I was truly amazed by his characteristic sounds after hearing the 4-min edit of the track. Originally I intended to wait until it started to pre-sale on Beatport to post this, but this one is so amazing that I can't wait any longer.

It’s a banger, indeed!

JunoDownload pre-order:

I am very curious about why they release it under Pure Prog instead of Pure Trance.
But the track is hypnotic and layer-heavy indeed, unlike the general theme of the label.

Link added to post #1, thanks sincerely!

The main part is not in the preview, so hard to say, might be pretty good as expected :)

Really well produced atmospheric track. Builds superbly up to and including the breakdown. A bit disappointing that after the breakdown it doesn't progress to a climax but instead we get the return of the synth from the build up. I feel that for a trance record to be truly great it has to have some sort of a climax and thus tell some kind of a story, which is lacking in majority of modern trance. Nevertheless this is a great effort and one of the best from Coredata in a while. He's a talented guy no doubt, among the top 3 of trance producers for at least the last 5 years imo.

Yeah this also disappoints me.
The thing that got me into electronic music is that the lead melody can progress and build up to a certain "climax".
Coredata tracks just have f****** massive details, and a whole lot of twists & turns. Really one of my favorite producers of the modern day.

Agree regarding the climax. I also wanted it to build to something else. Regardless of that it's the production quality and all the atention to detail which really makes his tunes stand out and this is no exception.

Yh breakdown is quite expressive and with lots of nice elements, would have loved to see that continue. Either way, sick track, another gem from Coredata.

I love Coredata's stuff.

I appreciate comments about lack of climax, but I think it's important producers deliver what they want to deliver as oppose to what people want them to deliver.

I think a lot of trance has been guilty of following one path for too long, thus the occasional stagnation of the scene.

Every set needs a variety of different tunes, and unlike a lot of my stuff, Coredata's stuff will always slot into a set.

Many years ago, I went to Privilege with Rich and Tapio, and when we walked in, there was the most amazing track playing which made me want to dance, but also had a gentle lovely mid-set feel because it just sat perfectly. I always think Coredata's stuff is perfect for clubs. Draws you in but doesn't fatigue you.

Exquisite selection of sounds as well. Anyway, this is just a middle-aged man's opinion :)

Sometimes the journey is the best part. I wish I could write music which did this. Unfortunately, most of my stuff is like a LSD trip.

Wow very kind words, thank you so much!

I could say the exact same about your music... Captivating and intriguing and never quite knowing what is round the corner, which for me is what makes music so exciting.

And yes, I make music for myself only, and the fact that I have received so many positive comments and reactions over the many years I've been in the game has been such a wonderful experience.

Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed my music over the years, I really appreciate all of you.

I've been planning something a bit different for a while now and it's slowly starting to take shape - something more independent and away from the major labels I've been releasing with. I will drop news when the time is right.

All the best,

Jonny

High quality as usual from yourself Coredata. Keep up the pace, we want as much music from you as possible.

Interesting perspective from me, but despite Pure Trance being a label I don't follow, my favorite releases of yours are most often when you are releasing here.
