Really digging the goa/breaks original! Not too fond of the remake. A bit too slow and plodding for me.Not just influenced, it was originally made back in 1997. Now given an updated rework from the same artist.
It could be that a lot of old goa was cut and mastered from old DAT tapes, giving them that specific sound. And of course that 90s analog gear.I actually like the non breaks format of this remake and the general arrangements even though it should have been little more driving. Cant help but miss the warm inviting synths and textures the original has when I listen above. New tracks never seem to deliver that, it's the same old story,. Did they forget? Soes new technology not allow for it? Or do they simply not like that organic touch anymore? I just don't know anymore. Still a solid remake.
