After two mega successful collaborations in 2021, Egyptian rising star FAWZY couldn't let 2022 slip away without joining forces once again with Danish mastermind Daniel Kandi; and Osman Mousa on board. Ascending Waves is a real-life example of energy, emotion, drive and euphoria all brought together in one supreme record; with a masterfully-embedded homage to the classic trance sound of the 2000s that we all love!

Wow I think 2023 will be Kandi's year! Awesome trio collab
Melody is really really strong on this one. That soft melancholic piano works really well which evoked such a unique feeling it kinda reminded me of Boyler/Foyle style piano. Looks like Kandi brand is slowly merging with the Timmus alias.

Kandi's 1st artist album is going to be complete fire I just know it.

generic as f. dont see what you see in this at all.
You have to look past the steroid sometimes, my friend. We're in 2022 so we get a Nostalgic melody that you can just listen to on repeat with clean sound + some free roids with the dega dega but its not bad at all, this is like the only discussion forum for Trance music and sometimes I genuinely feel bad on artists behalf when reading your feedback butchering them completely and no not all your points makes sense and are very subjective and your feedback itself can sound very repeated/robotic & harsh af sometimes.

Please show me a track similar to this one released within the last 3-4 years.

Sound is very subjective and the sonic density is changing in recent mixdowns/masters so instead of complaining 24/7 people should be trying different headphones warmer/brighter / with built-in DSP or Harmon curve eq (JBL/Soundcore sound signature) etc or whatever reference monitors you prefer but if they're piercing you with highs and snares then try something else.

Just ignore him at first place. That's all. I wonder why you spend time for explain for this kind of toxic people
And about this song. Imagine we calling this one generic, I don't know what those EDM crap, or some similar tracks are what?
Artists dedicate their efforts, to bring to the listener the emotions in Trance. Because obviously, no one spends laziness on a genre like Trance - the genre is not mainstream.

toxic people

The track is sort of decent. But Daysleeper is right, the production is generic as fuck. The melody is 'alright' (it's not extremely special) but even if it were special, it's wrapped up in a generic burito. It's a decent generic burito.

Because obviously, no one spends laziness on a genre like Trance
Well, that's far from the truth. FAWZY had 31 (!!!!) releases in 2021. A guy like Terra V even more. In ONE year. And they have fulltime jobs like you and me. They recycle their tracks over and over. Just change a chord here and there. Select a different arp-progression. Once in a while they select a different synth. Render. Another track done.

I also saw the sentence "look past the steroids". Wait what? Then I'm a supermodel... Just look past all the uglyness.

Generic isn’t always bad, but we do appreciate more when the creative flare comes through, no doubt. I will never hear a track like this and melt away like I do with the balanced trancers, but I don’t mind this for some energy and head nodding. I understand why people criticize saying all that.

To be absolutley honest i expected bit more from a track where is mr. Kandi involved. His younger verson Lasse Macbeth is doing slightly better at this time,
i will give it a few listens, but so far Im not blown away, looks like a traditinal 6,5 from me...

Talla 2XLC had 70 releases last year btw :D
Terra V is really lame producer who should stop spreading the poos on the genre...he did one solid track, the one posted here, so his score is like 1 good track per 1000 other tracks...

Kandi is just giving him time to ketchup but yes that effect around the countdown in Lasse's - Last Voyage track = instant goosebumps with that atmosphere he created..Kandi is probably just working on mastering finished tracks/fine-tuning stuff/collabs etc this could be a really old collab track or very recent so maybe his inspiration has all been used up towards the album and that's natural but it's far from a full-on template/copy paste generic trancer tho or maybe he's moving away from plucky trance.
