Recently I found that Darkskye had a release on trance labels that hadn't been posted here. I think he is a pretty unique producer in the trance scene, who has received a lot of influence from techno. His tracks often have heavy percussions, which can be seen in his 2021 release "Event 201 EP" on Lost Language.
For this release, It has two originals and a @CJArt Remix. The pads and reverbs are building up a twisted and treacherous fantasy atmosphere. It feels like entering a dark forest to me. The CJ Art Remix extends the original track to a full story via progressive breaks. The percussion of the title track "Otherworldly" makes me think of "Outlander (Mac & Monday Remix)" by Activa, even though the two tracks don't share that much similarity.
Tracks from this EP will definitely enter my top list of 2025.
