Something about Eco's productions always hit me differently. Not sure if its his melodic style, restrained (i.e. not very technical) production, composition, or what, but he's always had a special place in my heart.

I came accross Light at the end ( martin Roth edit or Lost world?) around 2007/8 Dj eco was far ahead of anyone else at that time imo. But. No body seemed to use his music on compilations. I didn’t go clubbing back then, did dj’s play his stuff in clubs? Was he really even known then?

i thought his layering and use of fx ( especially distortion types and his song structure was simply different to everyone. Then. The best part was the melodies hit you straight into the Solar Plexus!!!. ! !

it took years for him to be on a compilation as far as i know. He appeared on a ASOT around 2010i think but under the mame Eco. Although good . I thought it was a little more friendly and safe ( probably pissed of with not getting much exposure so wrote an all people friendly type track. Thankfully it still had some of his signature Genius. In music The best always seems too much to handle for the majority.

This is a special track for me as it was featured in my favourite Tiesto's Club Life episode back in the days.

Unforgettable and inspiring melody - this was my first Eco track I've ever heard.

Eco is one of my top five trance prodcuers of all time. During an era when literally everyone was choosing to sound the same, he carved out an incredibly distinct style all his own - spacious, uplifting, and psychedelic all at the same time. I havev basically his entire discog, and it's consistently informed my definition of what good trance is since high school over a decade ago.

Agree with everything you say. I actually think a few years after he released quite a few tracks, (sometimes himself collaborating with another great similar producer, Breakfast. )

basicaly a few years later, other trance producers started incorporating elements of his sound. But i never felt he got credit for it.

incidentaly do you know estiva - the kingdom? Such a God like tune. Puts estiva in my top 5 just for that. Off course hes not known for that track. I guess its too challenging/ emotional for many. But its that kind of track i like the most.
