In the wake of his recent anniversary release, Orjan Nilsen revisits another timeless classic from his DJ Governor alias. Marking twenty years since its original debut, Red Woods returns in a striking 20 Year Anniversary Mix that amplifies the tracks signature atmosphere. With its pulsing low-end, soaring lead textures and a refreshed arrangement built for todays dance floors, this powerful reimagining honors the legacy of the original while propelling it into a new decade of club dominance.

I don’t think it’s that bad tbh, for me it’s a more clubby version compared to the Original with a mix of 2011-2014 Orjan and more modern sounds thrown in there. I’ve heard way worse reworks. I guess he’s kind of done the same thing with his 20th Anniversary mixes of Go Fast and Viking though 🙂

I actually kinda like it. It certainly doesn’t touch the original. Not by a long shot, but still an overall decent update. I think we can all agree it is better than most of the stuff he was putting out in the mid to late 2010s. 🤷

Well it sounds just as expected...he would never do an uplifting / trancey rework, so the result is more big-room
It is not complatelky bad, but not the style that I prefer

Yeah, it seems Orjan we never do full on uplifting trance like he did his early days. Is a shame too because it was so atmospheric and captivating.

Still, you have to admit his output has been much better in terms of quality than say 10 years ago. At least from my perspective.

It baffles me they felt the need to release this watered down "update" when the 2006 original still sounds mint and powerful.
If they actually gave a shit about the 20th anniversary, they should've sent the original to a quality engineer for a little mastering update and do a limited vinyl repress or something. This is just more armada slop

yep basically the same formula "shitty new remix of a classic" with one side note that it's made by the same artist

actually nearly 50% of armada releases these days are these garbage new classic remixes or covers or whatever they call it, this is just pathetic
