Does anyone have an 'obscure' number 1 Trance track of all time?

Lol how have you managed to find beef with even this. You started the top 10 of all time thread ffs

Haha yeah I know...but in all reality lists are fun but ranking music is just stupid. It doesnt make any sense. But im not saying lists shouldnt exist and i dont say that people cant have favourite tracks. Still though, its stupid and if you cant see through that i dont know what to say.

Triggered much? Ok let me rephrase that - ranking music is dumb.

Do you feel like this about movies and tv show? From my point of view it's easy to rate creative work, why not?
Saying one particular thing is better than another is stupid ie putting things in very particular ranks. Reviewing or putting scores on something is just something else.

Dude you spend 99% of your time on this forum pointing out how bad a tracks is compared to an older one, and then you often assign it a rating. I hate to break it to you, but this is the very definition of saying "one particular thing is better than another". A 6/10 is lower than a 7/10. You've ranked it.

Afterburn - Frattboy (2000)

Well, nearly everybody loves the famous a side 'North Pole' and yes it is a great track (considered as a true classic, a general opinion which I am not really conform with).
But the b side 'Frattboy' (Or Fratty Boy if you prefer the edited version in Tiesto's In Search For The Sunrise comp) is nothing but pure perfection. Already the intro is like a dream with the telephone sample, the distance sound and ghostly voice samples. Then suddenly, the sun shines through the green woods like in a fairy tale and then the best came and..... no further words. Just listen by yourself. After 10 minutes of closely listening you are another person. It's so magic and deep, so atmospheric and organic, it still blowns my mind to this day. It was the time when PVD was in his prime and no surprise that I first discovered this track as an opener in one of his sets. It was his very own style in the 1999/2000/2001 era and it is maybe the best example why trance can be so soo damn good.

True spirit here and for me still the best trance track in the world, in an era of golden trance music (if you count out 2000 Psytrance because this genre was in a crisis during that year).

I don't know if this counts as an obscure favourite, given it's the first song on the first Magik compilation, but nonetheless:

I'm a big sucker for any song that takes their sweet-ass time to develop
Still a great trance song with amazing drumbeat programming. :))

Interesting choice..A&N had a great sound back then. I remember North Pole was the opener fro Tiesto's Magik CD - and it was incorrectly titled Fratty Boy - no idea how haha!
