MISSING PIECES : LIFE - 15/08
We were recently reminded of The Missing Pieces, a compilation of deleted and extended scenes from David Lynchs Fire Walk With Me. A film that shares the same title as our long running EP series, with a concept that - pulls together individual fragments to form a more complete/shifting whole - something we can relate to here at EL-EL, after 25 years of creative drift. But chin stroking aside, it’s nice to get another one of these iconic EPs out before we hit the big 200.
Leading the charge we have Danish trance legend Dreamy turning in a seriously proper remix of Karadas Last Flight, an untouched classic from 2003 that made its live debut when the ever wonderful Factoria dropped it at Luminosity in June 2025.
Berlin legend SIOC, who’s remix of Origins Wide Eyed Angel was a stand out cut on Ben Losts EXHIBITION RAW compilation, returns to the label with a unique remix of the seminal Amber by Natious, combining melodic elements from both the Silk and Lightning remixes, with his wife providing hauntingly understated vocals, making this rework all the more special.
Rounding off the package, Japans Kenji Sekoguchi provides a classy remix of Recluse Isle Dauphine, weaving in his own beautifully intricate progressive pads and beats, whilst retaining the balearic trance essence of the original, perfect for those alfresco sets and golden hour moments.
