This is pretty nice man! Clearly you are getting better and better. I love that bassline, loads of the FX and in general the build up and build out of the track. Even though you can tell the mastering/mix-down is not quite at professional level it still sounds really nice. Nice balanced kick and hats. With some slight polishing it would be something would like on a TF recordings EP.

The bit I didn't like as much as the main lead/hook and synth. Sounds a bit generic, enhanced progressive cheesy kind of. The melody itself is not too bad, would have loved a more serious, subtle or moody approach with that synth, less stabby and predictable. The rest of the track elements are so light and optimistic, that having the main hook bring some moodiness would be lovely to create that contrast and prevent it from going too generic.

If you were interested in trying something like that then I would pay for some mastering and do some artwork for a release (alongside this one). If you feel happy and done with this one, then all good, but for sure next one you start you should show for review!

Thank you. Yes i do think the main lead is a bit generic. Im thinking of changing the chords halfway. i'll see what i can do. I could def add some more elements to the track though as i feel it needs it. What exactly is wrong with the mastering if i may ask? it is not done by a professional obviously but a professional master would be nice, sure. a TF EP is something i'm thinking of doing. would be fun. Anyway thanks for the constructive criticism. appreciate it.

Nothing really wrong with the mastering tbh. On second listen I don't find any issues, some of the synths maybe are a little robotic/harsh, like the ones at 3:06, or when all the elements come together after the drop some balance and clarity might improve. Mainly it sounds good tho.

Main melody is also trying very hard to be this epic, memorable thing, when I am already getting that from the entitreity of your track without it. The hook could be supporting rather than anthemic. Just an idea, you'll know better than me if it will work or not.

There's some nice elements in here but for me the chords and lead in the breakdown don't quite gel together correctly musically. Also that bass that comes at 4:07, should it be so heavily side-chained when there is no kick present? From the drop onwards (5:02) it sounds REALLY nice but the kick seems a little muddy to me. Enjoyed listening to this!

There's a lot to like about this.
In terms of sound choices, every thing sounds right in terms of the overall track. I like the chord progression and that little vocal sample really takes everything to the next level.

Not 100% sure on the plucked part of the melody. It feels like it's trying to do too much melodically, when a more simple arp would work better. It seems to rhythmically clash with the main chord-stab lead for me also. Hard to explain, but the 2 patterns don't syncopate well in my opinion.

In terms of the mix, there's way too much going on in the mids. If you are going to go for that more punchy bass kick combo over the heavier sound, you need to be really careful of those low mids in particular. There feels like there's a whole lot of muddiness there which drowns out the groove of the track.

Not trying to be too harsh here, this is a good track over all and I tend to push a little bit more when I can hear good potential. 😁

thanks for the feedback. i'll work on the mid frequencies then. I quite agree on the pluck part it does clash a bit. i'll see what i can do about that. Really appreciate the feedback mate :)

This track has a most sunny uplifting beautiful vibe. I really love a lot of it, but like people are suggesting there is room for improvement if you ( like all good producers do, aim to get the most out of yourself)

@LostLegend sre you talking about the arp pluck that starts at 2.52? ( could be described as a lead) I feel when the chorded pad/stab comes in there is a bit of a lack of cohesion created. A gentle battle is going on somehow, fighting for space. Rhythm or notes don’t quite fit.
I keep thinking there are two ways this could be altered. .. just a thought. On the sound that enters at 2.52, drop the amount of notes played by about 40% ( if it is an arp then hopefully it can delete notes)
Play around with the Decay sustain or release on the amp envelope. Not the attack, thats pretty perfect.
So basically the sound is shorter but just as smooth. Extend the delay on it but have it automated a lot, fading the amount of delay going from a moderate amount to a very large amount, then back down, then up again etc ( your ears will tell you if you over did it) pan the sound around left to right but not max left & right, probably 50/60 %. Id say pan rate at 1 bar but try different. Experiment with reverb levels but for me it could sound nice with more reverb as there will be less notes. Then it may not feel as if it is going head to head with the chord pad/stab part that comes in as the arp/pluck temporarily disappears. Ie, when the arp returns and two prominent sounds happen simultaneously the conflict arrises. You might also add like a tibbeten bowl type sound to put very occasionally to add to the space, but fairly quiet. It may be that other sounds might need slight drop in their reverb depending if it begins to sound washy or not with all the fx on the sound / melody im giving main advice on.

My second idea i would find is probably hard and may not actually work. Drop about 20% of the amount of notes on the main bit im taling about above, but also change some of the notes to higher up the octaves, perhaps same note one octave higher could work on the odd note here and there.

You may not want to try either, its your track. Good luck if you have a go. If doing the alterations I suggest starts completely doing your head in. ( depends on your technical skill) Stop because you might loose interest in the track and its far too good for that.

The arrangement is something i could learn a lot from. Thats my weak area on my own tracks. Your sound selection is wonderful. That vocal is lovely.

Thank you. All very good suggestions you have there. Although i am happy with the track as it is i might do a few changes in the future. Thanks again.

I'd say the breakdown is a tad to long, But other then that its a beautiful sunkissed trance track.

Wouldn't mind if this became Trancefix recordings new remix competition.

Thanks. I would love to hear what you guys can come up with. Hit @Hensmon up on that perhaps?
I forgot to mention how much the chord stabs remain me me of this:

Which is a good thing by the way, such a vibe!
Beautiful track that :)

No plans for a remix competition at the moment, but honestly love to see the producers on the forum collab as much as possible to help each other so encourage you to if you feel inspired to. I would sign this track and likely remixes + pay for some mastering. Even your Ringworld track in the other thread is really nice @Halon and with little more love and mastering would be a quality sign. Could aim for a 3 track EP?
