Been a lurking for a few months but have to say something here:

Absolutely incredible job by Enigma State! I knew of him but I really became a fan after I saw him live during Luminosity ADE. I've been waiting for that 'Mijmering' track ever since that event and I got goosebumps when I heard it was the intro.

My favorite tracks are: Mijmering, Emotions, Essence of Life and Wanting. Essence of Life was a nice surprise and I really loved it! Also Discover Way sound like a sequel to S-Bahn. And Emotions is great too, I wonder when the J1S remix of that will be released? Either way this is just so good and inspirational for me. Already ordered the CD as well!

And also @EnigmaState , I ordered the CD via mobile and I must've missed the message part so hopefully I can still get a signature? My username on bandcamp is the same as here but with an underscore. And if it's not possible I will maybe personally get the signing from you at Luminosity 2025 :). Anyways the praise is well deserved. Keep it up!

Cool tunes! Played the full thing while shaving today. Album wise it's not really my journey(anymore) but as stand alone tracks more than fullfilling🔥 Will probably buy the vinyl(if coming) anyway😏 Well done😀

Purchased on Bandcamp! Buzzing to blast it during work today, review will follow.

How are all you guys using your CDs? Do you still have CD players in your house???

Also @Gijs you mentioned you can leave personal note on bandcamp, where/how do you do that, i've never seen that option?

How big was your beard?! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Il give my verdict on the album soon, but im really glad you went down the artist album released on CD route - its a shame most artists dont do this anymore...you can keep an air of mystery about new tracks until its released - like back in the day. I keep meaing to do it,but i get impatient and i just stick my tracks on Youtube haha.

My personal standout tracks on the album :

Elevate (big homage to Airwave's gated pads, reminded me of Alone In The Dark)
LSD or XTC (i like the darker theme to the melody, and i recognise the news reporter in the sample but i cant recall his name haha)
The Moonman (obvious great homage to Ferry's 99 sound)

I liked the melody in Essence of Life, but i think i wouldnt preferred it with a chunky 4/4 kick instead of breaks. The intro reminded me what PvD did with his Out There And Back album - nice and chilled breaks, mixing into the 2nd track seamlessly.

Overall,Nath is one of the last great Trance talents, and its great to see a proper Trance artist album still being produced with a physical CD option..

Don't know about others, but I still have a CD reader thing in an old PC, I mainly use that.

Re: personal note, you have to click 'Include a message' when buying something:

It'll open a text box (limited to 300 characters) where you can write whatever it is you want to. I've mainly done this via desktop, so not sure if there's any difference on mobile / in the app.

Thanks for that mate! Yeah Elevate does have a nod to Airwave earlier stuff.

The news reporter if from a really old 90s ITN News bulletin about illegal raves in the early 90s and the substances used. The interview overall was quite funny to watch.

Appreciate the views on it mate! :)

Great to see the album launch day is finally here.

The second half is my favorite so far, and it's awesome to see there's some breaks included too. I've replayed Essence of Life, Should, and Discover Way quite a few times already. Did get a bit sidetracked with all the replaying, but not to worry, CD is in the bag. (or maybe the envelope? Or both? Both is good).

@EnigmaState I wasn't sure whether to buy it through the label or your personal BC page, so I went with the latter. I assume it's easier to keep track with everything in one place. Hopefully the message thingamajig (obvious pun and all) did go through. Sign the CD however you think is best.

And thus the wait begins for the shiny. :p
Glad you've enjoyed listening to it and got a few personal fave's! :)
CD is in the box haha.

Either purchase from the ES bandcamp or the Transtate bandcamp would have been fine :) The Transtate one is mainly for the label stuff as more releases start to come in but illl always have the releases on my main ES Bandcamp :) - Really appreciate the support! :)

No reviews yet guys?

I understand. Because, how can you respond to this? I really am impressed. You are the king of trance, Enigma State. I really appreciate how you selected specific drumsounds, patterns, rhythms, basses and arrangements for your tracks. I didn't spot any 'lazy' recycling. Also glad it's not too much about 16h-note-arpeggio's. You are great at that, but for an album it would be 'too much of the same' I think. You balanced it well enough with other types of melodies and sounds.

Mijmering is a great opener (glad the intro goes on into a 'full' track). Love the little vocal-effect in Mijmering. Would be interesting to read how you came up with this Dutch word for a title. Legion, Elevate are nice. LSD or XTC reminds of Waiting For You (Orgasmix), and is raising the level, I really like that one. As well as Emotions. This isn't just trance in old style made by fan. This is really really good.

Illuminate keeps up with the high level. The vocal chops are well done and a welcome variation in sound. The level is raised even more with the highlight of the album, possible tune of the year, The Moonman. I'm listening to this on my Sennheiser headphone, absolutely can't wait to have my 'studio' set-up and blast this out. That synth is absolutely gorgeous.

The 3 remaining ones aren't as strong as the Moonman, but still very good. I'd put 'Wanting' earlier in the tracklist, it's quite mellow after the power of the tracks before it. Hey I notice some sounds form Discover Way are from S-Bahn. A small recycle after all ;-)

Only thing I didn't care too much for was the breakbeat track. I almost never like breakbeat, so that's probably a taste-thing. Would love a club-version of it.

All in all, you can be very proud, it's all "you", but not too same-y, with enough variation between the tracks. It's really well done.

Great review and thank you so much for the kind words on the album! :)
Yeah I tried to keep every track seperate from the others and not recycle much. There is obvious little bits in there but not to a point where you're like "I heard that track on number....."

Mijmering, the name for that came about because I originally was going to called it Reverie, and then at the point i was going to call it that, i noticed there was a track that was coming out called the same name, and also someone deceided to create a label with that name too (I forget who it was now), so I decided to see what the dutch equivalent was and there we have it "Mijmering".....and then i actually preferred that over the original name i was going to call it. Plus, its a nice little nod to my dutch friends and followers there to call a track in Dutch :)

Yeah the breaks track its alwasys going to please some and not others, I felt it brought in a nice change in the album leading you in to the final third.

But yeah all in all im super proud of this. One thing I wasnt ever going to do was release an album full of edits. If you're going to do something like this, do it proper or not at all. Extended all the way. There will still be singles off the back of the album, with some edits too and an odd remix here or there, including the J1S remix of Emotions. :)

Thanks again for the support and your write up on it :)

EVERY SINGLE TRACK SOUNDS GREAT! currently my number 1 fav track is Mijmerging as its stuck on repeat for me lol..I think it will take a week for me to properly finish listening to this beauty of an album that's graced our planet in 2025.

Hi everyone, there was an interview with Enigma State by Trance Weekend (China) last year, I have reposted and (google) translated it here. You can have a read if you are interested.

Finally found a time to enjoy the album in its full form… sheesh… what a journey ✌️

I’m amazed about how huge variety of classic styles we could find there: Corsten (main and nomen-omen Moonman), Push, eurodance („Wanting”), prog breaks („Essence Of Life”)… and in all of these different sounds, I can feel your touch, Nath 💪

I love almost the whole of the release; maybe only „Wanting” and „Mijmering” (too many similar melodies recently on scene but I know it’s not your fault) didn’t caught my heart.

I have my personal TOP 3 of this album (a little spoiler to my next Beatport chart but no one cares so fuck it): „Should”, of course „The Moonman” and my biggest surprise - „Discover Way”; this composition is massive ❤️❤️❤️

„Elevate”, „Emotions” and „Illuminate” also need to be praised for melodies and rhythms… as I said, I would love to support it when it will come on vinyl (I’m not a CD guy for 10 years) 💪

Some musicians could (and would) only dream about as great album as you did with your debut 👍

It sounds great from some previews I listened. I need to sit down and give it a proper listen to the whole album.

Sadly from 14 pounds for the album, +vat, +8.5 pounds shipping cost, + customs I'll have since BRExit, I'll have to pay around 40 euros. This is why we can not have good things lol.

I've paid 37 euro. It's a lot, but in this case it's also necessary to support the artist.
