When he's not taking pictures of ships in the river thames, he's making music.

Facade returns to JOOF Recordings with 'Orewa' and 'Weta'. After pressing play, you'll find yourself in Adam's gorgeous netherworld. 'Orewa' is truly uplifting: gracious plucks dance around a bassline that encapsulates perseverance, resilience, and tenacity. 'Weta' is Orewa's darker sister track, with a cinematic moog-esq stab leading the way, and haunting atmospheres that aim to engross and captivate listeners, and it achieves it.

On remix duties, we have Bonzai legend Narel, who provides a very lovely and driving edition of Orewa.

Great work, well thought-out, top-notch productions. Have no bad word to say. Also have no favourite, it's so hard to choose one!

Facade delivers as usual, had him on a remix duty of Erander - Boppe once and did a more then excellent job of it.

I like the narel remix. Weta is nice in parts, however there is some white noise i don't like, like it crept in purposefully to make it Weta (better?)..... (sorry!)

Thanks all. My J00F debut, I worked hard on this remix. As soon as Adam sent me the original of Orewa I wanted to remix it. It sort of feels like a follow up to ‘Burn Your Idols’

Orewa's a follow up to Adam's mix of Burn Your Idols and Weta is a follow up to his Nekyia remix, that's quite clear. John always asks producers to repeat the similar magic for JOOF Recordings.

Remember Burn Your Idols was a collab dude. I wrote most of it 13 years ago. Ad and I then re-made it, both of us adding new parts. That’s why there was never an ‘original’ mix. As well as the old issue of trying to produce one track across two different studios.
It feels like a follow up to me as the same Moog-ish bass was used and the Arpeggiated riff is similar.

I know that Nick, meant that there are alot of elements from Adam's version in Orewa

A solid release all round, Weta is my favourite. It's got darker vibes and atmosphere. Orewa seems a bit more uplifting compared to what I've heard from Facade already. My favourite releases from Facade so far have been 'The Owl and the Butterfly' and the remix of Basil O'Glue's 'Nekyia'.
