Just like the majority of people here I also don't like 95% of the current mainstream Trance music, I don't even open Trance genre on Beatport anymore when I'm looking for new music for my radio show, I always find my type of Trance in Peak-Time Techno and Progressive House.

But, when some of you guys enter every thread here just to leave a comment like «It's a shitty templated track and because of tracks like this the Trance scene is where It's at» you're no better than a dog in the booth that's barking on every passerby.

Brendan (Factor B) for example is an awesome guy that believes in his music and loves to produce it, It's all that matters. If you don't like it It's absolutely OK! Go and find music that's up your street.
If you really like what you're doing it doesn't matter what it is ©

the tone policing from your end is also shocking. There's also absolutely no need from your end to go and tell people what they should and should not vent here.

This is a music forum for discussion, not a trance church where only praise is allowed. As a producer myself I find constructive and often harsh criticisms like overproduction, overuse of samples and genericism key inspirations to avoid those traps in future productions.

nothing but "plur" comments get you nowwhere except stuck with a stroked ego.
"Obnoxiously overproduced, very amateurish arrangement, generic dross" does not equate to constructive criticism.

Thats fine,so do all us producers..so whats your point? People are fairly entitled to their opinion in a general forum....youre another person who is complaining about someone giving their opinion on a forum - which is what they were invented for lol.

Nobody here,

1 called him names.
2 claim he's somehow a terrible person for making the music he likes,
3 demand that he must produce what they like.
4 think that is somehow morally reprehensible that he's doing his own thing.

Nobody here, and you can prove me wrong with quotes from users, has ever attacked the man’s character or the fact that he might be a swell dude at the pub. I'll happily take your word for it.

What people are saying is either " I really hate this because of X" , "I really love this because of Y" and anything in between.

You, on the other hand, have just called fans of the genre "dogs" because you don't like their tone of critique. I hope you're aware of the somewhat hypocritical irony of that.

Opinions in form of constructive criticism and blatant hatred from the sofa are different things. People should use a punching bag instead of forums to unleash their negative emotions.

Wheres the hatred? You must be reading a different forum. This is the problem with people nowadays..theyre too politically correct, too polite and easily offended.

That earlier guy who said 'im shocked by these comments'....no one wouldve ever said that back in the Trance.nu days lol.

Im sure Brendan doesnt give a rats a** what people think about his tracks. You have to have a thick skin to be a producer anyway.

We're reading two different forums for sure mate.

LOL that's not about me, I'm straight and honest, there are quite a few producers who hate me for this.

EDIT: I'm done for this thread, nothing to add really

Yeah, being a) constructively critical, b) being hateful and c) being overly negative are three different things. All of them are present on the forum.

Let's keep this on topic, shall we?

no... i'm pretty sure i've read and quoted the whole thing, including the part where you compare music critics/fans on this forum to dogs, whilst simultaneously falsely asserting that they allegedly hate on factor B's lovely personality, (as if that has anything to do with his music?)

but i don't suppose you'll acknowledge that glaring bit of dual standard of dear dear being against hatefull comments whilst simaltaniously being overtly hatefull / ad hominem against people here, instead of (generic) productions :)

I don't like it. It's average and forgettable. It is my personal opinion. Some people here need to accept that a different opinion is not "negativity".

Its better People are honest about tunes made like tjis. Its not about negativity.

Go to Facebook or YouTube. I can assure you that you will most likeley feel at home on those comment sections with the warm loving 99 %positiv feedback and comments.

Me on the other hand is happy theres one single place where these generic/cheesy/cheap tunes get exposed. People write these comments because they wanna see some change or wanna see more creativity within productions and in the scene. Not because of negativity for negetivity's sake.

Saying you hate a track is over the top though. But you have to see the reason behind it.

Exactly my point - I love that I can write here whatever I like - just my honest opinions about this or that release.

I'm also bored of seeing all the cheesy positive comments on facebook, youtube, other social networks and almost noone is actually writing some good constructive criticism or just an honest opinion.

This was actually the reason why I was banned from the main "trancefamily" page of my country on a VK social network more than 6 years ago - just cause I was writing what I think about the posts, often criticizing the cheesy Armin-loving shit they've been posting for years and saying smth like "why don't you post anything different from Armada-related trouse?". I had a few people who were on my side and was managing a group called "#hateEDMnewz on VK social media for few years which was really fun - people from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus were writing only honest opinions about different electronic music related stuff and just had fun 😌

If anyone doesn't like our own opinions about tracks, just visit A State Of Trance Channel on YouTube right now, Armin is playing ASOT yearmixes - read the comments, fap with everyone and sit on a giant Armada-branded dildo while listening to Blah Blah Blah and making a Jesus/Armin pose, that might help.

Long live TranceFix ✌️
