Fading into you has a nice breakbeat section apart from that most of the tracks are pretty below par. I do like the cover art

The Oath sounds like a ripoff of The Legacy I think...or at least it's heavily inspired by it.

Anyways, the previews sound interesting enough for at least a listen, there are some tracks with potential. But...I don't think I'm gonna be really impressed by it overall. It'll be good if after listening, I like 2-3 tracks.

Also, why has he named a mix 12" Extended Mix? Is he gonna press it to vinyl? I don't understand...

CD1 - sorry, i love slower and proggy music, but there is nothing catchy...no standout track, they are all around 4/10 from me, pretty soul-less
CD2 - Standout track is From Way Back by miles!!!! I mean by huge, huge, really HUGE miles......then Connected, Oath, Move Mountains, Innerspace are quite good...the others not being bad at all. CD2 is fine 7/10

I just skipped through the album, its well produced, some nice melodies, but nothing stands out for me - nothing i'l remember. In fact the best melody was the one that sounded like Push hehe. In most of his uplifting Trance tracks i think the main synth he uses for his melodies sound really generic and 'default'...its really harsh and cheapens the prouctions.

How are you expecting to remember the tracks if you've just skipped through the album? Isn't this modern listener mindset in a nutshell, where the expectations are instant enjoyment or else we will discard it move on the the next thing to consume. No attention span or patience whatsoever. Pass judgement with the least effort possible.

People used to buy albums and take the time to appreciate them, and that's how it should be. So much about music takes time to appreciate and develop and most people have forgotten that and lost that patience. I'm not saying this is one of those incredible albums, but still. Tracks/albums can get much more enjoyable if given a chance. And uplifting Trance albums are notorious for sounding very similar throughout, it takes multiple listens to start distinguishing, It was the same with Digital Blondes album. This is nothing personal by the way, I do this myself sometimes.

The bottom line is...i just dont like modern Trance. And this album is indicative of that sound.
