Disclaimer: I suck at remixing, I like this one, but never thought it's good enough even for soundcloud. I did it for a contest, but I wasn't happy with it so I never send or published it. I still don't think it's good enough. Everything original I wrote for the remix I took and made this song: DJ Recharge - No Regrets

Ofc there is a bit of regret I never made it work for the remix, but I ended up with one of my favourite own songs so, no regrets.

I have two version with the second one at 120 with arpeggios that's much closer to the final version of No Regrets

I like it. Has that old Deadmau5 feel to it!

Like the piano and the vocals.

Possibly a little too much reverb on the vocals at times as they sound a little bit washed out. Maybe try automating the dry/wet controls and bringing it down a bit for the verses so they sound clearer, then back up for the washed out sounding adlibs?

Nice overall!

Unfortunately the vocal are wet. I have dry ones but they are very offbeat, even in Farius original they are offbeat which is a bit annoying, but strangely enough he makes it work somehow. Pianos are actually his( I agree absolutely stunning), for this version all I did is drums, bassline, pads - chord progression for them and arrangement.

In the other version I have arps too, but when I tried them they didn't worked with the vocal.

He had great arps too, but I wanted it to be more deeper version and arps gave too much energy.

I am not sure if bootleg is the right term here, I had the stems, just don't remember if I was allowed to upload it online, so just incase.

I removed the extra reverb, delay, echo I had on the vocal.

One thing that I really hated was the hi hats, I made them very quiet, because I wasn't happy with them at all, I changed a few sounds and made them slighly more noticeable.

One things I don't understand is why I am so bad at remixing, most djs start with remixes and move to producing , I started with producing directly and I guess I need more practise remixing. One thing I hate is a remix that doesn't add anything new to the original, I guess this is why I dislike this one so much, it's too close to the original.

Edit: I think even in the original is very wet and that's how he makes it work

Well that's understandable. For it to be different than the original, you need to develop your style. And how do you do that? By producing originals (from scratch) and finding your sound.
