Hey hey,

Hope everyone is having a great start of the week. Would love to have some ears on this track that I have been working on for a month. Please rip it apart. I would love any feedback as to how I can improve. Mixing hasn't been my strong suit, but I've working hard to improve on it. Ideally, I would love to get this polished up enough to submit to labels, but if it's not good enough, that's fine too, as I just want to improve and grow :) This track hasn't been mastered yet.

Let me know what you think. Thanks for listening!

K, now for the serious review:

Its well put together in terms of elements i'd say!

The style is aimed to be big room uplifting, and it does the job very well in terms of melodies and sounds picked. The mixing is on point, the mastering pertains enough dynamics.

I'd say its signable.

my biggest critique at this point (in particular aimed at you, an aspiring producer), isn't your techniques and ears...they're on point.

Its that the (or better yet this type of track in general) is rather generic... which is perfectly fine for when you're just getting started 👌, don't get me wrong, well done job. But ask yourself, for your next projects.. what makes this more special then any of the other of (millions) of similar tracks out there?

I would, hence, at this point urge you to 1 keep it up, and 2 try dipping your fingers in more creative/original pieces, you certainly seem ready for that.

nice work overall. (y)

Heyo, thanks for taking the time to listen to the track, providing feedback, and ripping it apart.

I agree, the tracks I have been working on are superrr generic. I'm still quite a new producer (2 years in) and have been using reference tracks to learn, help guide and train my ears on sound engineering, how to use synths, mixing, and composing a similar style. I recently started dabbling in sound design with Syntorial. I definitely want to make my tracks special in the future and agree that I should start dipping into more creative pieces. I think I was just worried that I wasn't at that level yet to start focusing on being more creative.

And I did not notice you skipped 4 LOL

I think the real feedback I'd give would be: I think it would be good to produce another 15 tracks... and that way... discover who "you" are. What kind of sound defines "you" ? Keep going. Untill you create something and you will think: it doesn't matter whether you like this or not... this is who I am.

And perhaps listen to a lot of trance, from 1995 untill 2026, discover what the genre has offered, it's a very wide range, which might inspire you to dig deeper into a certain section of trance. And that might help you discovering who you are as music producer.
