Its what the fans want...thats the style of the alias you expect.Sorry... This is Anahera version 2.0. It's already boring for me that Ferry follows the same style and nothing changes in this alias. Eg Collab with Armin or A&F.
But this alias needs to evolve as well. Something new, something fresh would be something. You also have to expect that from someone. Look at Gaia, Hydra etc.Its what the fans want...thats the style of the alias you expect.

Affinity was Hydra's first track from Helstrip but made in an Uplifting Trance vibe. The new Hydra is a bit of Progressive Trance and Uplifting. Two in one. Aurelia, After The Rain, All That Matters and Crystaline show it a bit.Hydra kept that same plucky style as the first track over 15 years after,Affinity. As i said, thats the style you expect from a certain alias, and thats why theyre created.
Gaia was a mish mash of styles imo...i wouldnt count that.

Good that you bring that up, since Moons of Jupiter was a very polarizing album, and Armin/Gaia was criticised for not making it a trance album, or in the usual Gaia style. They tried to follow their passion, get a bit creative and not cater to the masses, yet the masses wanted something uncreative, expected and formulaic. What exactly does that tell them?Gaia
Yes and yes. This happens with every artist, even Astral Projection and Infected Mushroom. Iirc for IM people were up in arms that the group started making dubstep and dubstep-inspired psytrance instead of their late 90s psytrance.Good that you bring that up, since Moons of Jupiter was a very polarizing album, and Armin/Gaia was criticised for not making it a trance album, or in the usual Gaia style. Apart from that, weren't Gouryella's first couple of tracks almost the same as well?
I perceive it differentlyIt was still the same plucky style lol! You could tell it was hydra.
On the topic of GAIA - Armin initially wanted to follow the style of 4 Elements and Tuvan, but finally in 2019 he said that he was going to experiment with this album and there will be songs like Techno and Progressive. If it was an experiment, it worked, but it's a pity that he didn't release anything from the album as a Single.Good that you bring that up, since Moons of Jupiter was a very polarizing album, and Armin/Gaia was criticised for not making it a trance album, or in the usual Gaia style. That's probably what is missing. Modern Gouryella feels more like early System F rather than Gouryella (even though it's pretty true/loyal to OG Gouryella). Tiesto gave Gouryella productions a 'punch' that is missing from modern Gouryella - whether that was through his artistic vision or during the actual production of the tracks. On the topic of Gouryella - The first pieces of Gouryell and Walhalla sounded similar sampled. But then Tenshi and Ligaya were completely different maybe because in the Collab there was a crisis between Tijs and Ferry. Then 2015 and Anahera and then songs made in the style of Anahera but with a changed background, and what a different note sounds different. Hackneyed and boring in MY OPINION.
I come across this sentiment a lot, and sorry for the harsch term but i think speaks volumes of a massive sense of entitlement. But this alias needs to evolve as well. Something new, something fresh would be something. You also have to expect that from someone. Look at Gaia, Hydra etc.
Maybe the lack of Tiesto made him produce a solo and he wanted to try, but in Ligaya, for example, there was no idea for the track? The new Gouryella is System F, I definitely agree with that because it is enough to listen carefully and see what other alias is taking the style. In 2015, the whole world said that Anahera is an 80% copy of System F - The Sonnet. That's probably what is missing. If someone is the fun of a given artist, he also has the right (literally and figuratively) to demand new sounds and transitions. That this alias was somehow livened up with new melodies and not artificially hackneyed samples that everyone knows and can listen to. But that is my subjective opinionI come across this sentiment a lot, and sorry for the harsch term but i think speaks volumes of a massive sense of entitlement.
His alias "needs" to do nothing m8.
who are you to make expectations of or dictate the creative direction / stagnation of someone else's creative endeavour?
Honest question not even dunking on you.. sincerely... what is behind that? why do you think that can be reasonably demanded by you/ likes of, of in this case, Ferry?
